A bit off the beaten track without any restaurants or pubs close at hand for evening meals/a quiet drink. First impressions were that of a bit of a run down area because of graffiti - first impressions can be wrong! The Monika offers basic, clean and comfortable accommodation with friendly and welcoming staff. A kettle in the room would have been welcome. Continental breakfast with cereals, bread, rolls, cheeses, cold meats and preserves available in breakfast room on the basement level of the hotel. Would recommend the Monika to anyone looking for a quiet stay. Would be happy to return to the Monika.
