We chose to bring our 2 children aged 13 & 10 at half term, as we had gone as a couple to a sister hotel on Rhodes this April & were impressed with it. This hotel was not nearly as smart, & the surrounding village was extremely run-down with nothing to see or do locally. It was clear that the hotel was due to close at the end of our week's stay, as each time we turned around, another few tables/chairs/sunbeds/parasols had disappeared. Unfortunately we had 5 days of torrential rain & storms, with 2 days sun & wind. We regularly got soaked running from our rooms to the main hotel for meals. The entertainment was frankly laughable (but not amusing) & not worth going to. The upside was that we had nice rooms with great seaviews, free mini bar, dressing gowns etc. The children were at our request put next door but one, so we could keep an eye on them. The restaurant was OK, but the loud rock music CD constantly playing was a bit frantic. The food was fine, plenty of choice, and overall the hotel was very good value. We would definitely try another Mitsis hotel on another island, but would not come back here again, & would never go to Greece at this time of the year again.
