The Mina House is exactly what you should expect for a budget hotel in the Paddington area, no more, no less. It is a little shabby (worn carpets, creaky stairs, peeling paint) and the cleanliness could be vastly improved (don't look under the beds etc as they don't clean anywhere not visible).
The room was large and fairly quiet and the breakfast was basic but acceptable. Most of the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
I might consider staying there again, mainly for the price and convenient location.

My friend and I stayed there for 3 nights and was given a triple room at the basement. I can't say the room was very clean (because of the carpet) but it was quite big and the facilities were quite enough. The breakfast was nice. Staff were friendly.
Mina House is close to the two Paddington stations, it was easy to get to the city center. The district itself was safe and calm, with restaurants and supermarkets around, so eating won't be a problem.
Tho it wasn't an excellent hotel, its quality met our expectation, and the price was reasonable.

Review of 'MINA HOUSE'

Me and my husband brought our 6 year old grandson to London for the weekend in may and stayed at the Mina house. Although basic it was very comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Continental breakfast was served in a very nice egyptian themed dining room. Staff were very nice and made my grandson very welcome. Hotel is 5 minutes walk from Paddington station / underground. Very handy for travelling to anywhere in London. Would definately stay there again.

Had a very nice stay, simple but worth every pound/euro.
Although some rooms were very small, we could change to a bigger room,( room 19).
The staff was absolutely kind and helpfull, i have had other experiences in budget hotels in londen.
I would go back here!
