What our customers say
We stayed 2 nights at the Francis in September 2007. For a first visit to Bath, it was ideally placed only minutes from all the main attractions, shops and restaurants. Whilst the room was small, it was very comfortable and well equipped. Our requests to reception for additional pillows, milk for in-room tea, and replacement batteries for a dead TV remote were all responded to very quickly - small details which make a big difference. We didn't use the restaurant, except for breakfast - food was good but the room is too small for the number of guests and queueing for tables appears to be common. Overall the hotel decor has a tired look and feel, and an upgrade is long overdue, which new owners Mercure are believed to starting early next year. Current prices are therefore a bit on the high side we felt.
