Melia Dinamar
06 June 2008
I stayed at this hotel in August 06 and had a lovely time, could not fault it. So relaxing and the service was excellent. My wife has just come back from her 4th stay there, each time the beginning of June, and she loves it. Not too far from the Marina which has to be visited. The food i found to be excellent with a wide choice, and cooked in view. The pools were superb, and well kept ,as were gardens. Would definetely recommend this hotel, and am looking foward to going back.

Melia Dinamar June 07

This is a beautiful hotel set in lovely surroundings but it is sadly lacking in any decent form of entertainment. A poor quality piano/singer was on a couple of nights (2 too many) and a sort of mexican/spanish band playing music for 1 night. This meant that most guests headed off into Puerto Banus so I am not quite sure on the hotel managers grasp of commercial opportunities. Bar prices were a little high - 2 x half lagers were 10.4 euros. Staff on reception were rather serious and unhelpful although bar staff were very nice. Our holiday was OK but I'm afraid I wouldn't revisit this particular hotel. In future we would stay in Marbella and visit Puerto Banus for a day. The marina is impressive but Marbella (particularly the old town) is much more entertaining.

We have just returned from Puerto Banus, having stayed in Melia Dinamar Hotel. First time visitor to Costa Del Sol. We had a family wedding and had a group of 25, men, wonem ,children and babies. The service we got was second to none, rrom were very clean, and linen and towels were changed daily. As a family we were all accommodated on the top floor which had superb views of beach & pool. Food was beautiful, specially champagne breakfast, buffet style dinner got a bit monotous towards the end of our stay. Enterment in the hotel was poor, but the flip side of that was relaxation. Will definatley return next year .

Melia Dinamar May 2007

The hotel was absolutely everything we had expected from the reviews and published standards. My partner and I are quite elderly and found that the staff were more than helpful and understanding. The gardens were quite beautiful and in May the hotel was peaceful and tranquil. The rooms were above our expectations, the food delicious and we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone else, in fact we are planning our next trip soon.

Review of 'MELIA MARBELLA DINAMAR'

The staff at the hotel could not be more obliging in assisting with queries, such as the surrounding area, where to vsit/where not and provision of maps, along with time spent to explain routes. We were met outside by a very pleasant porter who enquired about our journey and was happy to assist with removal of our baggage from the vehicle and up to the room where he checked all was to our liking. Although we arrived late in the day with only 10 minutes to spare before the 10pm close time for dinner we were not made to feel a nuisence and received good service both that evening and the remainder of our stay. The food on offer was a good mix of meat and fish dishes -(cooked while you watched} The room was clean and spacious and whilst a little difficult to find, the hotel itself is in a good position for both pleasant walks and entertainment, although there is plenty on offer within the complex itself with large swimming pools, tennis courts and putting greens. We have stayed in numerous hotels both in the UK and varous parts of europe - this one is within the top 3 ever used.
We WILL stay again!

The Melia is a beautiful hotel set in stunning surroundings. The rooms are clean and spacious and the facilites are second to none. It has a lovely outdoor swimming pool with a fountain and outside seating area. I went in December so didn't get a chance to use the facilites as much as I would have liked, but I will definitely be visiting again in the Summer. The staff are lovely, the food is brilliant and the only thing that is wrong with this hotel is it is only rated at 4* which in my opinion is underated. Definitely a 5*.

Review of 'MELIA MARBELLA DINAMAR'
24 November 2006
The hotel was lovely. Great facilities, rooms spacious and kept well. Some noise on the Friday night not only between rooms but also from corridor, thus sound proofing was not great. ~i'd imagine this could be a problem in high season. We stayed in mid november. Finding the hotel on the first nght proved very difficult. We had rented a car and there wasno problem getting to Porto Banus however ther sgn posting for the hotel was virtually non existance. We eventually paid a taxi to lead us there. Even in the day the sign posting was dreadful for the hotel. We discovered we had been circling around it for hours. We had followed the Hotel web page's instructions which turned out to be very poor within porto Banus. I suggest to any one renting a car and driving from Malaga to call to the Sol Melia desk at the airport and check directions. Otherwise a lovely stay with great facilities.

BEST BUFFET EVER
28 February 2006
We have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years but I must say we were very impressed with this hotel. We stayed for 6 nights over the Newyear period. The room was a good size with bath robes and toiletries in the bathroom. There was more than enough space for sunbathing having 2 swimming pools and also an indoor heated swimming pool although a little on the small side. The staff were more than helpful. The walk along the promanade to the port 10 mins. was very pleasent as well as being very safe.with a couple of bars along the way just incase you fancy a drink whilst looking out to sea. But for me the highlight was the meals champane buffet breakfast, Buffet evening meal with a choice of king prawns or salads hot prepared meals orchoose your own meat or fish and the chef will cook it right there while you wait, better meals than we had out!.Would love to go back in the summer to enjoy the large swimming pools and eat lunch on the varander. A very enjoyable place to stay.
