Quite a good standard for 2* hotel. Nice tidy and clean, good size rooms. Pity it was lacking a fridge and tea making facilities in the room. there was no TV also (aerial outlet was ther so maybe it was being repaired) but who wastes time to watch telly in Calella?

Great basic hotel, fantastic location right in the heart of the resort of Calella, friendly and helpful staff in the hotel.
Overall no complaints and we would stay there again.
I have stayed in 4 other hotels in Calella ranging from 2 star to 4 star and this was by far the best that I have stayed in.Thanks for a great holiday.

A clean, basic, no frills hotel located in the centre of the tourist area. Very convenient for the beach, bars restaurants and (tourist tat) shops. No parking on site but street parking close by and secure parking 5 minutes walk (both 8 euros/day). Street side rooms only have air/con at extra 3 euros/day. No noise from the street.

Good localisation - hotel is located near the beach, train and bus station. Room is Ok, we were only sleeping here, so it wasn't so important to us the room design. But its not bad.
Very beautiful beaches in calella!

The Mediterrani Express offers great value for money. The rooms are basic but extremely clean the maid popping in every day without fail. The staff are friendly and more than willing to offer advice on your stay speaking excellent English. If all you need is a bed for the night in a central location at the right price you cannot go far wrong here.

Hotel Mediterrani offers, excellent value for money, whilst standards are above that of a budget hotel
Rooms whilst basic, are clean tidy and comfortable and ideal for any length of stay
We were even suprised to find our rooms cleaned by a maid each day
Pol and the rest of the staff are warm and welcoming, going out of their way to help at all times
I never made it idown for breakfast, normally passing it on my way to bed, but it look a very good standard with lots of choice, and poolside snacks were also very good
Facilities are what you will need, a nice pool, loungers and chairs and a well stocked and extremely reasonable poolside bar
Location of the hotel is good, in the centre of town just a few minutes walk to the beach and within range of a number of excellent bars and restaurants
Probably the cheapest hotel in Calella, but certainly not the worst
This was my second stay here and I would have no hesitation in returning again or recomending to friends looking for a good hotel for a cheap break

Review of 'MEDITERRANI EXPRESS'
01 July 2006
The Mediterrani Express Hotel was pleasant, clean and the rooms were ideal for my friends and I. There was a cleaner who came often and the staff were always willing to help and very friendly. Facility wise, there was a reasonably big pool and a smaller pool, a pool table, bar area, as well as internet availability. My friends and I only booked a triple standard (with no extras such as meals), though the rooms were very basic, not one of us could find one problem to complain about. The scenery, though not best suited to those who want a nice view of the sea, we (again) found no problem here. Overall, my friends and I were very impressed and have vowed to go back and stay at the Mediterrani Express again next year. We can't wait!
