Cockroaches

13 October 2008
We stayed at these apartments early October 2008. We were on 11th floor with beautiful views over the Marina and looking towards Gibraltar. Unfortunately we thought the apartment needed refurbishing, with very old fittings, kitchen very basic, only had the maid come in once during the whole week. Biggest drawback for us was we saw cockroaches in the apartment and were afraid to eat any food at all there as this seemed to draw them. Told staff and they said the maid would come up and spray round to kill any, but we did not see her. Would definitely not go back there because of this. Also saw cockroaches on the staircase, dead. Would not advise anyone who has a fear of these insects to go there.

Would stay again

17 September 2008
My partner & I stayed at this hotel Sept 08 for 7 nights. It was a lovely hotel, perfect location right on the beach and a close walk to the town. Bus stop in near by, along with the supermarket. Plenty of places to eat just a short walk away, a nice area of town, would stay again. However i will say that the rooms in the hotel do not look like the ones advertised, although they are still nice. The cleaners came once in our stay, and the staff weren't very friendly and they didn't speak very much english. But none of that mattered as everything else was perfect. I would recommend this Hotel to friends.

Thoughts on Mediterraneo Marbella

31 August 2008
Stayed at these apartments in August 09. Basic but you get what you pay for. Staff friendly, cleaners came every second day. All kitchen appliances worked, rooms have a TV. Spacious enough apartments, we had a lovely view of the sea. The apartments are located right beside the beach and a very short walk to the town. Local supermarket called "open cart" also in close proximity. Only negative thing to say was the locks on the window and balcony did not work, so if you have any valuables then I recommend you rent a safe. Would come back to these apartments, rating: 3 out of 5

FAB!

02 October 2007
I stayed here in June 2007 with 16 mates on a girlie holiday. Couldnt be more central if we had tried. Two minute walk to the beach, bars and shops. Rooms are basic but clean and well accomodated for! If you are lucky to get a balcony with a sea view then the views are stunning. We are going back June next year to Marbella and planning on staying here again

It was fine as a base for golf.  The bathroom could do with a bit of an update if I was taking my family.

It was very difficult to find and the map is not correct.

1st class location and value for money. Only down side was the noise of the bloke next door's telly when putting my wife off to sleep at teddy beddy bah bahs time. She has ears like a hare and so the noise particularly troubled her. We agreed the walls must be 'waffer thin'.  In a cunning and calculated move we decided to sleep instead on the fold down sofa bed in the living area which was fine. Glad we chose this over a hotel room at The Lima though as you can enjoy the benefits of a fully furnished apartment in a nicer locale for the same price.

I'd like to say that the apartment mediterraneo was absolutely smashing. I have no complaints whatsoever. I was a little concerned initially as the price was so reasonable, but the apartment was more than adequate for any young couple, lovely balcony on the seafront. The location was excellent right bang on the beach,no need to worry about not having a pool, in the centre of Marbella with Puerto Banus just down the road so you can have the best of both worlds.
I d definately stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking for more than reasonable accomodation in Marbella.

The hotel is in a fantastic location right on the beach and only a short walk from the old town and orange square.

The rooms are spacious with great views of the sea and the mountains, and all are very clean.

The rooms are very varied - especially in reference to decor - 4 out of the 5 rooms that my group was staying in were a very good standard.

Check in was easy, and our taxis on departure were all organisd days in advance by reception.

I would not hesitate to book again, fantastic value for money.

At this price level, probably the best accomdation we've ever found. Clean, well presented, well laid out - and right on the beachfront, it realy worked for us. And even the plumbing arrangenents were good - plenty of hot water, plenty of water pressure. We were also lucky enough to have a pefect sea view. Ours was clearly privately owned, so maybe we can't generalise too much. But we will certainly try and go back.

Stayed at the mediterraneo marbella hotel for four nights. First impressions, the apartments are very dated ie like something out of the 80`s hence the bargin prices. Location was good as you are a stones throws from the beach. i found the hotel very clean, and I Cannot praise the staff enough as they were very helpful and polite.
If you are a young couple or between 20-40 or solo, then I wouldnt choose marbella itself as there isn`t much going on.
Try puerto banus or chose closer to Fuengirola.

I stayed in this hotel for my hen weekend!  We had a fabulous time here and would definately come back again, even for a romantic break with my future husband.  The location was perfect for the beach, the promanade and plenty of restaurants.  We did not hear any noise from outside apart from the waves crashing onto the beach.  The hotel is very well equipped for S/C although we did not use anything as we ate out all weekend as there are plenty of places to eat.  It even came equipped with iron & ironing board and washing machine and microwave, toaster and kettle.  The kitchen was gully style so there was not much room in there, but we didn't use it anyway!  There was plenty of space in the apartment with a lounge and dining area aswell as the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom and balcony.  The room was not touched by any cleaners for the whole 3 days we were there which didn't bother us for 3 days, but would like to see the towels and sheets changed if we was there for longer.  The reception staff didn't speak much English, but we didn't really ask for anything apart from trying to keep our room on past 12.00noon on our departure date, but we was told that there were no rooms available.  We managed to keep our luggage in a room which the cleaners used but when we got back to the room, they had opened the back door and our cases were on show to people passing in the street which we were not too pleased about.  Other than that, we had a great time and would definately go back again.  Puerto Benus is only about 3 miles away and costs 10 euros 60 cents.

this place is funky, its kind of old but the apartments are a great size, comfortable balconys all that.

the location is way better than a lot of places over here you are right on the beach front i mean any closer you would be in the sea and the shops and bars and restraunts are all in good supply and have great atmosphere, i would stay here again.great value.

The hotel was in a fantastic location, right opposite the beachfront. We had an apt on the six floor which gave us a great sea view. The Reception staff were helpful and all the amenties were on the front. The rooms were basic but large enough for 2 people. The only thing why i did not give a 5 was because it was difficult to find, not from the promenade bit but from the front of the hotel.

There were three of us and we stayed in these apartments at the end of January 06. They were very clean and well maintained. We had two single beds and a very comfy sofa-bed. The apps. are in an ideal location as you are right on the sea front and in walking distance for the cafes and shops etc. We will definitely use again.

The first apt I was shown was disgusting.  However, I was then shown a superb one, brand new kitchen, wooden floors and skirting, matching doors and wardobes, plenty of cupboard space, new bathroom, massive terrace overlooking beach, lovely modern furniture and soft furnishings, very light, bright and airy, very convenient for all shops, cafes, etc.  spotlessly clean.  Have rebooked this apt through you for 27 March.

Well done once again and many thanks

We found the Meditteraneo basic but ok, the location is perfect right on the beach, but would benefit from modernisation eg. microwave & electric kettle. A welcome pack would have been nice. Please note that the correct address is Edeficio Mediterraneo, Calle Mediterraneo and not Passeo Maritimo. You cannot gain access to the apartments from Passeo Maritimo by car. It took us an hour to find late at night.

Excellent location overlooking the beach and Marbella marina.  Great situation for shops, restaurants, bars and the old town.  A maid came in and made the beds everyday except on Sundays.  Clean and comfortable but perhaps the decor a little old fashioned, would definitely stay there again.  All these apartments are privately owned and I would suggest if you particularly want something in your room ask for it in the other information box when you book.

It was a very good location and very good hotel at that price level.
We would have appreciated a fan in the roof in the apartment.
Also it would be nice with a lot more pressure in the watersystem, specifically in the shower.

Fantastic location, overlooking the marina in Marbella.  Close to all the lovely sea-front restaurants/shops.  Only complaint I would have is that for the three days we were there I never once saw a maid and had to ask for loo roll!!

The Hotel is in a fantastic location right on the beach; excellent value for money. The one major problem we had, was we saw 3 cockroaches and that was in March, I probably wouldn't stay there again due to that but, apart from that, it's an ideal hotel if your are on a budget.
