The Mayorazgo Hotel building was constructed in 1968 and completely renovated in 1999. There are a total of 200 guestrooms spread over 6 floors, of which 16 are singles and 184 doubles. The hotel features a spacious lobby with lifts, hotels safes, a currency exchange counter and a 24-hour reception. There is also a TV room, several shops, hairdressers, a café, a homely bar, a pub and an air-conditioned restaurant with a separate non-smoking area. Business guests may make use of the conference room and the Internet access. In addition there is a room and laundry service as well as medical assistance available. The hotel has its own car park.

Just off the Gran Via, this hotel is perfectly placed to explore Madrid on foot. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the piano bar was a nice place to have a late night drink after our flight(although a bit pricey). The breakfast is a fantastic buffet served 7-11, which is great to accommodate Madrids nightlife! The rooms are a bit tired, but hey, who goes on holiday to stay in their room, so the facilities are ideal.
