Great location

Just off the Gran Via, this hotel is perfectly placed to explore Madrid on foot. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the piano bar was a nice place to have a late night drink after our flight(although a bit pricey). The breakfast is a fantastic buffet served 7-11, which is great to accommodate Madrids nightlife! The rooms are a bit tired, but hey, who goes on holiday to stay in their room, so the facilities are ideal.

This is a great place to stay if you wish to explore on foot. The Hotel is in a good location just off Gran Via and is near to lots of shops. The excellent buffet breakfast is served till 11.00am which, when you consider Madrid does not really get going until 11.30pm is a godsend.
The room was large and comfortable but a bit dated. Overall the Hotel was clean and the staff friendly. A WORD OF CAUTION THOUGH. Price your connection from the Airport to the Hotel before you travel. Airport taxies are expensive. 45 euros for the 10km journey. Overall though the hotel and the city are well worth a visit.

Great location, friendly staff. This hotel is fantastically positioned to offer an inexpensive, great value facility to enjoy the beautiful sites of Madrid. Rooms very spacious and the breakfast was delicious.

Great hotel, well placed just off Gran Via, short walk to metro Plaza de Espana.
Large comfy room and spacious bathroom, plenty of toiletries and hairdryer.
Good self service breakfast with plenty of choice although I would have preferred fresh coffee and not from a machine but that is a very minor point! Very friendly, helpfull staff. If in Madrid again we would stay at Mayorazgo.

Fantastic hotel, friendly and efficient service. The rooms were large enough and very well equipped - liked the hair dryer in the bathroom. Very generous on the shampoos and gels supplied. Breakfast was varied and generous self service buffet. Location, just off the Gran Via, couldn't have been better. Nice family atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended, we would use again in future.

Excellent hotel in a good location near the centre. We stayed in a triple room which was spacious and had a lovely en suite. As we were at the rear of the hotel it was very peaceful but we suspect that the front rooms may be a bit more noisy. Breakfast was included and was very good- both cold and hot buffet.
The staff were all helpful. We would return again and have recommended this hotel to others.

Nice Hotel, pleasant staff, good location.
Breakfast buffet was good. I'd have prefered the coffee didn't come from a vending type machine, and I think it was the same every day, but there was a good range of nice food. (scrambled egg was good some days and bad on others!)
Hotel is quite grand but a little tired. It would have been a 4 star hotel and it is clean, but I guess it gets 3 stars 'cos it's not shiny new!
Nice big bed but it was two put together.
Bathroom was large and all marble but the bidet was a bit too close to the toilet! I couldn't work out why!

Good location, good service and pleasant personel. Easy access garage.
We had a quiet room on an inner courtyard. It was quiet and we could sleep with an open window. Our 5 day stay at the Mayorazgo was very pleasant.

The Mayorazgo is very well placed to enjoy the sights and attractions of Madrid. The hotel generally feels very upmarket (well, it is 4*) and the staff are extremely helpful and polite. The rooms are fine, if a little tired, but clean and reasonably equipped. The breakfast is excellent and the bar area is great, but don't have dinner there - it's not good and was a great disappointment for us. I would definitely go back there if I went to Madrid again and for us - 3 sharing a room - it was excellent value. It's worth getting in touch with the hotel to arrange a shuttle from the airport (and back again at the end of your stay) as this is a lot cheaper than taxis.

This a great hotel right in the middle of Madrid.The lobby and reception areas area very welcoming,and look classy.The staff are friendly and speak good English.The rooms are spacious and very clean and comfortable but perhaps could do with updating but this is a very minor point.The breakfast is varied,hot and cold and caters for all tastes,i liked the timing of if ,upto 11.00 am for those later mornings.All in all a great value, well equipped hotel which I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Very good hotel, well located only 1 minute from the Plaza Espana metro. The lobby is impressive and the room was very good quality. Excellent buffet breakfast and helpful staff. I would definitely return.

Excellent hotel, centrally located. The only problem we had was with wheelchair access. We had to use the goods lift as the only access to the Hotel is via the garage. Parking impossible except for avearge family car. Other than this, we enjoyed our stay. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

The hotel was very centrally located and the staff spoke some english which was good. The breakfast was very good in the morning and the hotel rooms were spacious and had a large bathroom. OVerall the hotel was a great choice and i would definately stay there again!!
