Mayna 2* ???

Stayed at the Mayna for 4 nights back end of April. The room itself was immaculate and very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. The tiles were so clean you could see your face in them lol. You do have to pay 20 euros for the remote at reception but the channels are spanish only. Excellent location for all the bars, cafe etc and the beach was only a 4-5 minute walk away. Take time to walk through the Old Town and explore the narrow streets. If you get a room adjacent to the one way road it can get quite noisy at night time. I took ear plugs as always, so slept soundly! All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and the Spanish hotel guests always had time for a chat in broken English. Breakfast was your usual stuff, bacon, eggs, cerial, very nice! I would not have any hesitation in booking this hotel in the future. Excellent overall.

Why the Mayna is only officially rated 2 stars baffles us. The location,(central to everything), level of cleanliness throughout the Hotel,(rooms cleaned, beds made, and towels changed daily), and whilst the Spanish menu wouldn't be to everybody's taste, there was always something available to tempt the palate.
All the staff, cleaners, waiters, receptionist's(24 hours) and bar/cafe staff, were extremely friendly and courteous.
Overall, a very pleasant four week stay, and one that will be repeated sometime in the future.

Excellent location, near all local facilities.
Friendly staff,high degree of clenliness throughout hotel, comfortable beds, quite room. Would book again. Food only drawback but loads of good restaurants nearby.

A nice friendly hotel in a central location the only drawback was noise from the streets which is usual in Benidorm anyway.
The food was Spanish style and for the price paid good value english breakfast was available on request. Overall a pleasant hotel.

the hotel was very good value for the money we paid, at the end of the day it was somewhere to sleep and wash, it was situated smack in the middle of the benidom town centre, and was about 15minutes from the nightlife, the staff working there where very friendly and welcoming. we had no problem booking in and leaving, and they looked after our bags whilst we were leaving late, at the end of the day we all had a fantastic time and will be using alpha rooms again to book holidays
