Good quality accomodation for the Fringe

When we arrived we had been upgraded from Masson House to Chancellors House which was comfortable and clean and had everything you needed. No hairdryer in room but had brought our own.
Got parking space but parking was limited due to building works. About a 20 minute walk into Pleasance area, so not too bad a distance. No trouble with noise from other guests and slept well. Loads of choice for breakfast to suit all tastes. Despite being a 2* this was better than a lot of guest houses - would recommend to others.

Good accomodation for the festival.

Masson House is part of the student halls of residence and is well within walking distance of the centre of the city of Edinburgh.
Reception was very good and very helpful. Due to building work and the festival, parking was a little difficult, but we always managed to find a space eventually.
The room was average - certainly good enough for our purposes - all we were looking for was a place to sleep really!
The en-suite was a little grubby, the bed was comfortable, the walls a little thin and there was quite a lot of noise with other guests arriving and leaving. Breakfasts were good with more than enough to eat, but I've stayed in a lot worse and well worth the money.

Had 1 nights B & B at Masson House. Very easy to find. Rooms were very clean, bed was a bit hard though. Surroundings were nice. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Very good value for money. Will definately book again.

Great short-stay accommodation in Edinburgh

Masson House is in a great location - right beside Holyrood Park, view of Arthurs Seat (or take a walk up partway for great cityscape views). Could walk to Royal Mile via Park or streets (15-20 Mins), loads of (cheap) buses outside, or taxis at Reception Centre if needed. Beautifully landscaped gardens, great buffet breakfast (be as greedy or a healthy as you like). We had a double room, en-suite. Comfortable bed. Small but adequate shower room. Good shower. Plentiful tea /coffee making. Hanging and shelf space fine for shorter stay. Walls a bit thin but we had very quiet nights. TV. Would definitely recommend it to friends. Great value.
