Review of 'Marte'

Well situated hotel in middle of Puerto is the big plus. It is a rough and ready hotel but friendly staff and comfortable enough bed. Food is basic as are furnishings in room but that is reflected in the reasonable price. Unlike many other hotels is just off the main areas so is quiet, which can not be said of a lot of hotels on the island!

Hotel is small and basic. Breakfast is very ordinary. Staff are friendly. Location is very central and convenient. Room was small, no T.V., no fridge, we saw one cockroach! Pool was very small, no more than two people at a time! Clientele mainly middle-aged to elderly.

On arrival at the Marte... we were a little disappointed, we had expected a little more of a 3 star hotel, but as the days went on, we enjoyed out stay in the Marte more and more...

The beds are very confortable, rooms are clean and serviced daily.  Pool is small but again clean and staff are very friendly!

Can be a little noisy at weekends, so light sleepers should stay a little further out of the centre.

The hotel is 2 min walk to the main square, where you will find many restaurants / bars ... it really is an enjoyable stay, particularily on New Years Eve...

For a short stay, the Marte Hotel is perfect and affordable!
