Review of 'MARRIOTT NEW YORK AT THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE'
30 June 2005
Hotel is truly excellent 4 star standard, located just outside Manhattan across the magnificent Brooklyn Bridge from Wall Street. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Restaurant is very good but pricey. Lovely swimming pool costs small extra. The local area is largely unglamorous shops, government offices and banks - pleasant by day but dead at night and not especially interesting. All the action is in Manhattan itself - Times Square, Chinatown, Soho etc. Access to Manhattan is very fast and cheap by metro/underground but for safety reasons we used taxis to get home by night and this is more expensive (up to $25).
