Marina Suites Puerto Rico Reviews

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a week in May 2012. It was a great week, the hotel is in a perfect location for all holiday makers. Both beaches within walking distance and a full range of restaurants and bars nearby. The room was very modern and spacous, we requested an ocean view which we got. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much to ask. But in my opinion the best part of the hotel was the infifnity pool area. The entire pool area overlooks the ocean and it really is breathtaking. We will definatley be returning to marina suites asap! would highly recommend this hotel!

Staff were just brilliant, hotel was spotless, entertainment for kids was great.. Location was central with beach jst yards away.. Would have loved to stay longer.. Will defo go back..

This hotel is really nice but don't be conned into paying extra for the Superior Suite. Apart from being larger and on a higher floor. Oh you get bath robes and slippers too, I paid €90 per night B&B. Food and staff were friendly and the infinity pool is beautiful and overlooks the sea. Biggest disappointment is having to pay for parking, you can't even get near the front door with your car as you have to take a ticket and enter through the port. There are 20 spaces where you can pay €20 to park for the week but all were gone. My room was nice but sparsely furnished, Flatscreen TV with limited channels and a DVD player, and not properly cleaned. This was rectified only the next day. Same small shower over bath and same furniture as other rooms, not really worth the extra €40. No hotel information or wireless internet and had to pay to use the in room safe at that price? Now staying in a budget hotel for €15 per night with a larger balcony, sea view and all mod cons available at extra price; including safe, wifi, and English Speaking Channels. At this price I don't mind paying extra.

The hotel itself is fantastic, and the reviews already placed about the customer service being so pleasent and accomadating are for real, which is a refreshing change in spanish hotel. The rooms are great, we had a sea view one which was spacious and very clean.The pool is lovely, not the biggest, but the 'infinity' effect where it looks like it goes into the sea is very good indeed. The breakfast is really good, we didnt go for B&B but should have checked the price because 8euros for everything (Fruit, continental brekkie, pastries, tea and coffee etc) is a bargain and the chefs will cook you fresh eggs if you dont like the look of the ones already cooked, with no snooty looks or attitude at all! The only slight downsides to the hotel are: 1. The cost of the safe is 38 euros but you get 10 euros back....but still 28 euros for a safe is very high given we were only staying for one week! 2. The poolside had the same CD on everyday all day with the same songs on... So other than these two small niggles, this hotel is/was fantastic and I would def stay there again.

Wij verblijven jaarlijks in Marina Suites Puerto Rico. Meestal 2 a 3 nachten en gaan dan door naar onze time-share. Het is een zeer schoon en prima hotel, gelegen op een uitstekende locatie. Vooral de appartementen zijn zeer kompleet en lekker groot met een lekker balkon.

Stayed in Marina Suites June 2011. What fantastic accomodation. Perfect location, and overall superior rooms. Everything from the housekeeping/pool/friendly staff etc.. really made our holiday even more enjoyable. We will definetely return.

Large rooms, exactly as described in brochure. Excellent service, staff frindly at all times. Would reccomend to anyone. Fabulous Pool.

Location is about a 15 minute walk to the main shopping centre and 10 minute walk to the nearest supermarket or 5 minutes up a very steep hill. Not easy in 30 degree heat. Taxi to shopping centre was generally 5euro inc. tip. We stayed in a one bed apartment. It was very spacious, modern and very clean. Lovely big bathroom. Regular housekeeping. We specified a sea view, but got a glimpse of the sea and a great view of the childrens playground. We did ask to change, but there was no availability and then my teenage daughter discovered she was receiving free wii fi, so we were happy to stay there. The setting of the pool area is beautiful, but very tight and I mean tight. To get a decent sunbed, we had to get up at eight every morning and 'yes' leave our towels on beds! The pool bar served good lunches and was reasonable. We didn't eat in the buffet restaurant, as you have to book it in advance, but it looked very nice. Entertainment in the evenings wasn't great and very few people bothered with it. At the end of our evening out, when we returned to the hotel, we always went into the hotel bar. Bartender was very friendly.

WE STAYED IN THE MARINA SUITES THE LAST WK OF JULY FOR 2 WEEKS AND THOROUGHLY ENJOYED OUR STAY. FANTASTIC LOCATION STANDING PROUD AT THE SIDE OF THE HARBOUR. A SHORT PLEASANT STROLL TO THE BEACH AND SLIGHTLY FURTHER STROLL TO THE MAIN SHOPPING AREA WHERE THE MAJORITY OF BARS AND RESTAURANTS ARE FOUND. THE ROOMS ARE MODERN AIRY AND VERY CLEAN. GREAT SERVICE FROM RECEPTION, BARS AND RESTAURANTS. STUNNING ETERNAL POOL THE ONLY NEGATIVE POINT TO MAKE WAS THAT THE SUNLOUNGERS WERE VERY CLOSE TOGETHER PRACTICLY HIP TO HIP AND TOE TO HEAD, I PREFERED TO SPEND MY DAY DOWN AT THE BEACH RATHER THAN LIE LIKE SARDINES BY THE POOL. THIS WOULD NOT PUT ME OFF BOOKING THIS HOTEL AGAIN THOUGH.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at this hotel. We have stayed twice before and found it even better. Any request we had was dealt with immediately and this year there seemed to be plenty going on. I would most likely go back to Peurto Rico but would definitely have to stay in the Marina Suites. Not our first time in Puerto Rico but our first time to stay at the Marina Suites. Good location, superior seaview room which was very spacious, rooms were spotless and had great facilities, although we were on the eight floor on the seaview side there is a generator which goes all the time, there is also a boat yard which when in use is noisy and annoying if you wanted to use the balcony during the day but if you're out and about it won't matter. The pool area is small and the sun beds are packed in buts its a nice spot if its not too busy. Poolside facilities are good. Kids club seemed well run and the kids appeared to have a good time. We stayed half board, breakfast is great (outdoors) and no fuss timewise, dinner is also staggered so not packed. Food choice at dinner varies. Staff in every area of the hotel are great and very polite and pleasant and helpful. Taxi from the airport to the Hotel costs approx €55 - €60, check out the local bus service (no: 91) which is much much cheaper. I would stay again

3rd visit for us ,and although looking a little tired in the rooms (especialy the TV)its still the best hotel / apts in puerto rico.

Stayed here with my husband first week of September, have to say the best apartments we have stayed in , from start to finish it was just brillantt, staff are second to none, extremely friendly and customer focused, we stayed on the 08th floor and the views were out of this world,apartment was so spacious, very comfatable, pool is exactly as it appears on the website, just heaven, pool bar a little expensive but there is a lovely restaurant just across the road and very nice for snacks, definitely take the boat trip to Mogan, amazing, all the restaurants are lovely, Don Quotye's which is near the Marina suites if fantastic and very reasonable, we ate there 3 nights out of the 7, up on the strip, San Miguel is very nice, not fancy but nice, all the Irish bars good in particular the Shamrock and Molly Malone, but all the bars are nice, will definitely be back to the marina

This is my second visit to the Marina Suites and were already organising dates for summer 2012. The hotel is beautiful and we could not fault one thing about it. The staff are so helpful and Friendly and the location of the suites are just ideal no hills all flat ground with amazing fews of the Marina and the Sea. The pool area is out of this world its exactly like it looks on the net.

Perfect weather, nice pool, good activities, large and beautiful room. One problem: lack of parking facilities.

Welcome : Very welcoming and friendly Room : Deluxe Room booked - complimentary wine received on arrival. Chocolate and bathrobes/slippers absent - didn't report that because could live without. Room well appointed, spacious and clean although doubt under beds had been swept as we found articles of clothing from previous guests! Pool: beautiful infinity pool. Tended to get very busy with kids by 11am;quieter around the traditional siesta time and lively again after 4pm. No problems acquiring sunloungers if up before 10am. Staff : poolside bar staff very friendly as was lifeguard. Staff always went out of their way to meet guest requests. Entertainment: early evening entertainment for kids followed by some sort of in house show....some nights better than others....Abba tribute night good. Food : Only availed of breakfast which was more than adequate. Dining in the evening seemed popular with guests. Central location on the flat made it a more pleasant base than had it been on the hillside of the resort like many of the other accommodation facilities.

lovely hotel with great views overlooking the marina , the pool was stunning , you couldnt get any nearer to the sea, we stayed half board for 10 nights and the food was great , breakfast outside near the pool was lovely and the staff were very friendly and polite , the only downside for me was the night entertainment was a bit of a let down , the apartments were very spacious THE BIGGEST IVE EVER STAYED IN .would recommend the marina suits to anyone .. i loved the pool area we had the same sunbeds nearly everyday ....

This was our second visit to the hotel. Stayed 11 nights half board. Hotel is very clean and the staff friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant. Hotel situated by harbour with a swimming pool to die for. Only minor drawbacks were not enoough sunbeds at busy times and evening entertainment not so good (this is a personal view as I am sure many enjoyed it). Would reccomend the hotel to anyone

extremely courteous staff very friendly and helpful nothing was a problem. food delicious and varied we stayed half board and really enjoyed our stay. two negatives with hotel are the noise in the morning and the serious issue with sunbeds. the hotel states you cannot reserve beds with y0ur towell but if you have not done so by 10 am you will not get a sunbed, sort this problem out and we would recommend this hotel to anyone

Lovely hotel overlooking the Gorgeous harbour and boats!! However if you hire a car like we did, there is a charge for parking your car there, which I thought was a right nerve really, when you were staying at the hotel?? Hotel drinks and food were very expensive too??
