Clean, family hotel ideal for families with small children

22 November 2011
Clean and tidy hotel. Childrens entertainment fanatastic for small children our teenagers felt that there was nothing for them excpet internet access. Food at pool bar satisafactory but drinks poor. Meals in canteen style restaraunt will little choice or variety, but did have a separate section for little ones. Rooms spotless and well maintianed. Hotel fairly central but still a walk to shops and beach. Only found shopping area to the right of town on the last day.
The best thing about my stay was…
Childrens entertainment for under 11's.

GOOD FRIENDLY HOTEL

19 July 2011
group of 14 mixed ages, found the hotel staff extremely friendly, food was really good, rooms a bit outdated but clean, location was good as a short stroll to bars and restaurants and beach, but far enough away to be quiet at night. the animation team were outstanding and kept adults and children well entertained......would stay there again.

Not much to fault!

26 June 2011
Had a very good stay at the Marina Delfin Verde. Staff were all hardworking and friendly. Entertainment package was also good, games and activities going on through the day for kids and adults, if you like to join in with that kind of thing. Evening entertainment consisted of kids mini disco every night, which got monotonous for adults but kept kids happy, then bingo and finishing with a show, some of which was professional and some was the hotel entertainment team. We saw flamenco dancers, a balancing/acrobat act and a Beatles tribute, which was very good! The hotel staff put on Grease and things like that, which they practice for in the afternoon and is ok, again more for kids. The hotel itself is kept clean and tidy, apart from maybe later in the day when once or twice the outside area could have done with a sweep up job. Facilities are up to 3 star standard as you would expect. rooms have kettle, but tea bags etc. were never replaced after first use, but no doubt would have been supplied on request, as everything else was no trouble. Food and drink was of a good quality, all inclusive bar open until midnight. Restaurant choice was very good and food well presented and cooked considering it was buffet style. Snack bar by pool was ok too with burgers, hotdogs and chips, but also baguettes, sandwiches, toasties and pasta bologneise were available. Tv remote had to be hired for 10 euros per week, but buttons could be used anyway, if you want to watch Tv while on holiday! A fridge is not provided in rooms, but could be hired at a considerable 49 euros! Courtesy shower room is available on departure day as is luggage room. Location of hotel is good without being too central, beach, harbour and waterpark all within 15 minutes walk, with Alcudia old town about 20 minutes. Plenty of buses and taxis locally aswell, if needed. All in all we would recommend this hotel highly, very much value for money, with people of all ages catered for.
The best thing about my stay was…
Hard work of the staff to make your stay as pleasant as possible. A well run hotel!

Excellent - again!

07 October 2010
On reaching Delfin Verde our room wasn't ready, no problem said reception and changed us to another room. It was our second stay and unexpectedly complimentary wine was brought to our room that afternoon. The food was great again, nothing was too much trouble, and although we stayed during the National Strike, the hotel ran smoothly as usual. The Madonna/Michael Jackson show was excellent. As soon as we can save the money we'll be going back for the third time!
The best thing about my stay was…
The friendly fantastic service

No problems but out of the way

07 October 2010
Nice friendly helpful staff. Ideal for young families, lots of kids entertainment all day til10pm at night. Snacks from 10 til 6pm all god and freshly made. Resteraunt fine, can allways find something sutable. The hotel is advertised as close location for everything, well its not what youd call handy, its about a mile away from the main strip, and 5 min walk to beach. There is nothing on roads around hotel, but a small canal thingy and apartments, so quiet. The hotel is kept clean but furnishings are old n rther tacky, awful pillows. Has air con. Im very fussy and picky person and usually stay 4+ I would rate this hotel as low 3 star , but saying that there was nothing really bad about it, just 60s family fun type, relaxed n friendly. Location was worst point for us.
The best thing about my stay was…
Freindly hotel, lots of entertainment for families

not as good as previous visits

27 September 2010
having visited this hotel 5 times before found this time that the hotel seemed to be under staffed, not as much entertainment organised the dining room , we had to wait on numerous occasions for the food to be topped up, and was not as good a quality on previous occassions, i.e. show cooking only twice in one week, where as previously was every night, never the less hotel still good value for money.

The Beach
The Beach
We had a lovely holiday at the Marina Delfin Verdi the hotel is a little dated in areas. the entertainment team were excellent. Food was ok always something you could eat, bit repetitive. I walked to the beach and it took me 8 minutes and I do walk slowly. To get the the Strip is quite a long walk 40 mins and the same to the Port. Saying that there is a bus just up the road from Hotel for 1 euro to either so we walked there and hopped on a bus back. The beach is gorgeous. Lots to do in Hotel for Kids and entertainment every evening. The Hotel Staff are very friendly and helpful you will have a good holiday.

Excellent - couldn't fault it !!!

08 September 2010
Another excellent stay at the Delfin - the food is excellent with a choice for those who like plain food and those who are a bit more adventurous, there were themed nights including a chinese, italian and indian. The staff are the friendliest I have ever met and the enterainment staff work hard all day to organise games and fun but they are not too pushy.

24 July 2010
We are just back from Delfin Verde and had a great time. The hotel was clean, staff friendly and so helpful. Rooms cleaned everyday with clean towels and bed cleaned as often you request. Entertainment staff fantastic - they made our holiday. All the activities brilliant. Thanks to Stain, Ellis, Shelley, Jeanine, Henri. Snack bar good food, good selection, drinks good, restaurant could always find something good to eat. Children satisfied. Highly recommend this hotel.

very boring

12 February 2010
myself and my partner stayed here in may 2009 we are aged 23 & 25. we found this hotel very basic and boring we dont have any children and there was nothing there for us to do! the rooms did have ants but they werent to much of a problem if u didnt leave sticky sweets and drinks around. it was only a 5minute walk to the beach and there was not much else there u had to pay for sunbeds even tho the beach was empty!! theres not much around the hotel either unless ur up for walking then u may find a kareoke bar bout half a mile away!the rep in the hotel wasnt much help either but most of the other staff were 1 thing make sure u take ur own hairdryer as they not in the rooms u gotta rent them for a charge.. the food was nice by the pool but not much of it the would give really small amounts. hotel was clean but i would recommend ppl to go there if they have children because if ur above 18 and have no children u wud b very bored!!! i do recommend u take a trip to western water park its lovely there but really expensive. also go see the divers show it was fab. we wont be returning to this hotel or this part of the island agian unless we have children or about 70 yrs old..

Myself and my fiance stayed at the Delfin Verde at the start of Sept 09. It was my first holiday abroad and it certainly didnt disappoint! This hotel is brilliant, the staff are friendly and can't do enough to help you, and they never seem to have a day off! The food is first class, anyone who says they didn't like the food are just the picky type who'll only eat chips and beans every day and wont try anything new (saw plenty of those type of folk while we were there)! There was loads of variety of food (thursday night especially but i do think they upped the game even more that night because the review cards were on the tables). The all inclusive drinks are great to, theres a different cocktail everyday and they were all magic! The entertainment staff are brilliant, and so so good with the kids (if you've got kids this is the hotel for you, they'll have the best time!). Definately play the bingo at night, the prize money is great!! Its only a 5 min walk to the most beautiful beach, and you can walk to the old town market on a sunday or tuesday, would also definately recommend a walk down to the port at the weekend, there's street entertainers and stalls etc. I honestly think that this hotel would b a 4* if they gave the decor a bit of a freshen up. One small problem we noticed was ants, but thats not a problem exclusive to this hotel, there seemed to be a bit of an ant issue in the town in general, some of the paths onto the beach were crawling in them! On our first night there were lots of ants in the room, which i blame on me leaving a glass of cola out and the sweet smell attracting them, we just made sure not to leave any food or drink out and were never bothered by them again. The only thing that spoiled the holiday slightly was the weather, nearly 3 days of thunder and lightening which wasn't much fun!

stayed 22.08.09.

09 September 2009
I have never ever stayed in such a friendly hotel. The stafff are by far the best i have ever encountered. The food for all inclusive is absolutely fantastic really!!. I think the hotel exhudes such a friendly atmosphere that the holiday makers are instantly put into friendly mode. We have two children Callum 13 and Georgia 8. They instantly made friends and so did my wife Karen and I. A big hello to Freddy, Brian,Mick,Anne, Lucy, Tracy and all the kids. We had a fantastic time and are due to return in 2011, hope to see you there. The entertainment again beyond reproach, The Hoff ,Steve and all the girls worked effortlesly throughout the day and night to entertain everyone. If you are going please have a go at the games that is when you meet new friends, go for it. The beach is excellent and space is in abundance, 3 mins walk from hotel!!! The hotel is not large but in my opinion that is what makes it such a good atmosphere,ps it's not small either. Seriously, go for this hotel i can guarentee you that you will be of the same opinion as myself after your stay. Dont worry about getting drinks either , they are very relaxed about it and the service is extremely organised and again very friendly. Well done to management and staff fo such a brilliant holiday, see you in 2011 Gaz PPS put your towel on the floor in reception close to the pool entrance, again this is not a problem as everyone does it and it works well, beds by the pool readily available at 8.30 am, be prompt!!!
