Review of 'MALIBU PARK'

I found Malibu Park apartments to be very clean and tidy. The pool area was smaller than anticipated but it rarely got to busy so the size was adequate for its usage. On arrival the staff at the complex were friendly and very helpful. Our apartments were reasonably spacious and exceptionally tidy. However we did find a cat sleeping in one of the rooms when we entered which took around 5 minutes to get rid of. Going back to the pool, it was nice but had far too much chlorine which would stain your trunks/shorts etc when you got out. Poolside bar/café was very handy for breakfast and all day snacks. Malibu part is situated on a hill which means if your not a great walker you will need to take taxis wherever you go – which is not that much hassle as they are very cheap and will arrive in about 2 minutes. Overall it was a reasonable complex; however, I will not be using it again. One major downfall is it does not have air conditioning which can make your stay very sticky and uncomfortable.

MALIBU PARK IS THE PLACE FOR ME, ALSO FOR CHILDREN, MALIBU IS THE CLEANEST APPARTMENTS I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS, EVEN DOWN TO THE POOLS BEEN CLEANED EACH MORNING ALSO AROUND THE POOL, IS WASHED EVERY DAY, WHAT MORE CAN I SAY. THE APPARTMENTS ARE ESPECIALLY CLEAN & TIDY, TOEWLS CHANGED REGLAR, LEAVE ANYTHING ABOUT & IT IS STILL THERE WHEN YOU GET BACK AS THE MAIDS ARE SO TRUST WORTH, WE HAVE LEFT CAMERA'S & MOBILES ON THE KITCHEN SIDE THEY ARE VERY SAFE TO LEAVE WITH THE MAIDS. THE SHOP STAFF ARE SO FRIENDLY & HELPFULL, YOU EVEN GET A CHEERY MORNING OR AFTERNOON FROM THEM. RECEPTION WELL HOW FRIENDLY DO YOU WANT THEM TO BE PART OF YOUR FAMILY, WELL YES THE ARE. THE REPS, IT WAS VICKI & MATT THIS YEAR, WELL WHAT A GREAT PAIR THEY ARE SO FRIENDLY, CANNOT DO ENOUGH FOR YOU, THEY ARE GREAT, LAST YEAR IT WAS SARAH & COLLEEN, THEY WERE ALSO GREAT, THIS YEAR WHEN I ARRIVED I ASKED THIS MALE REP IF SARAH WAS AROUND @ THE AIRPORT, HE TOOK ME TO HER,NOT KNOWING IT WAS OUR MATT, I GOT A BIG HUG FORM SARAH, & THEN I WENT TO THE MEDEIVIL NIGHT OUT & TO MY SUPPRISE WHEN WE WENT INTO THE NEXT PART OF THE SHOW, SARAH SPOTTED ME & CAME OVER & GAVE ME ANOTHER HUG, IT IS GREAT. WELL IF I HAD TO RATE IN STARS FOR MALIBU IT WOULD BE A 10* APPARTMENTS. OH NOT TO FORGET THE LOVELY ALBERTO BUS DRIVER (ABOUT LATE 50'S) HE WAS A GREAT GUY YOU MUST USE HIS BUS TO GO DOWN TO THE MARKET OR WHERE EVER YOU NEED TO GO, HE COMES EVERY HOUR ON THE HOUR, SORRY NOT ON SUNDAY, HE COMES RIGHT INTO THE DRIVE OF THE MALIBU, IF HE TREATS YOU LIKE HE DID ME & MY FRIEND, YOU WONT GO WRONG, PLEASE DONT FORGET HIS TIP. YES I AM COMING BACK TO MALIBU IT WONT BE LONG, OH I EVEN ASKED FOR THE SAME ROOM AS LAST YEAR, YES I GOT IT, HOW NICE TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE A SPECIAL GUEST, & THAT YOU ARE WELCOMED BACK ( HOME ) AS I CALL TENERIFE. NOT FORGETTING YOU ARE SO NEAR TO THE AQUA PARK, ITS JUST BELOW THE COMPLEX, ALSO THE CHINEESE BELOW IS VALUE FOR MONEY, HOMLY & VERY FRIENDLY, YES I GOT A CUDDLE FROM THERE ALSO. * THERE IS ONLY ONE THING I HAVE TO ASK IS PLEASE MAKE SURE I HAVE MY HOLIDAY @ MALIBU AGAIN & DONT HAVE TO WAIT TILL YOU HAVE ALL GONE HOME, I LOVE IT @ MALIBU, ITS MORE THAN HOME FROM HOME*. GOD BLESS YOU ALL @ MALIBU. ELAINE A. XXX XX X.

Malibu Park? What can we say? 11 times we have stayed there and we will stay there again this year! Some of the finest views of Teide you will ever wake up to. An impeccably clean pool segregated by a steel barrier between kiddies pool and adults, clean well maintained appartments, an excellent snack bar serving breakfast all day, and evening and afternoon meals, reasonably priced bar with Oscar your evening host bending over backwards to ensure you enjoy the warm evenings with a cold beer or maybe a litre of Sangria. Evening entertainment is limited to films on the big screen but an ideal place to wind down with a nightcap after walking up the very long hill. Take a left out of the appartments main entrance left again and the second restaurant along is Litos probably the finest cuisine on the island (honestly) the fish amd Paella is second to none (book fish dishes a day in advance because Litos only serves the finest freshest fish) he and his wife raquel take great pride in ensuring a great night had had by all (including kids) There are 5 or 6 local restaurants or bars open till late Chinese, Indian, even English as well as the Canarian fare such as Lito's or the spectacular Moulino Blanco just 5 minutes walk away. Finally if your'e feeling energetic use the tennis courts or just walk up into the mountains and enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains over the banana plantations towards Los Christianos Can't wait till October!

very nice hotel stayed self catering, clean, maids friendly pool area nice too. reception staff friendly although didnt have much to do with them. rooms spacious wasnt very happy with balcony area. me and my hubby found it pretty quiet which was nice but the kids found it boring, pool area was clean and plenty of sunbeds but nothing to do for the kids, they had a big screen tv and put some good movies on but no entertainment at all. after you walk down heart attack hill there is a lovely resteraunt called litos you can get a 3 course meal for 750 euros try it its the best food we've had in tenerife so far well worth the money. just opposite that is the water park which is very good. i would recommend this clean beautiful hotel for couples but not for the younger one's. definitely go back with hubby for a quiet holiday. oh by the way stayed on the lower floor and never had 1 cockroach in the room which was a bonus..

We went as best friends and came back in love - we are now engaged! Malibu Park is in an excellent location - interestingly, because of the way the clouds gather around Mnt Tiede. We found from talking to other, much paler people, that they had cloud over their hotel most of the time, whereas we did not. The rooms are well equipped, although I would recommend hiring a fan! The pool bar does an amazing belly buster breakfast which my other half indulged in most mornings! The staff are all friendly and helpful and there is a small minimarket on site. 5 minutes walk from Malibu Park is an amazing restaurant called El Molino Blanco, the most beautiful restaurant I have ever been to and where I tried Chateuabriand for the first time - at 34 euros for 2, this was a much cheaper option than trying it in London for £80 - £100! We loved it there so much that we are going back this year and we can't wait.
