Review of 'MAGIC MONIKA HOLIDAYS'
16 April 2006
We are a family of 5, 3 boys aged 7, 11 and 15 and we stayed at the Monika Hotel for 12 nights from April 1st. We booked all our travel arrangements over the internet, flight, hotel and car hire at a very competitive price. We were up graded for no additional cost to a very large and clean 3 bedroom apartment which was ideal for our family needs. The pool was large if not a bit cold at this time of year but the boys had great fun. The food was of a good basic standard and as we were all inclusive we were able to use the facilities at the other 'Magic' hotels, we would particulary recommend the 'Crystal Park' situated in the centre of Benidorm. As we hired our own car for the entire holiday period, we travelled into and around Benidorm independantly so we canot comment on the public transport or Taxi's, but the 'Magic' group did provide a free bus into Benidorm. There was nightly entertainment in the hotel bar which was the only smoking area, but we ventured out of the hotel complex most evenings. I would not have liked to have been in the hotel every evening as this may have been a bit boring. There was a mixture of nationalities staying at the hotel, English, German, French and quite a lot of elderly Spanish. We found the reception staff friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned daily, with clean towels as required although our bed sheets were not changed throughout our stay. Our apartment was large and had a small kitchen which we only used for cold drinks in the fridge. We did have a very good view of the surrounding area and the beach at Finstrat as we were on the 18th floor. We did not have any problems with waiting times for the lift. Overall we had a good holiday for a competitive price for this time of year, although I would be hesitant about going in peak season.

The Twin Towers of Magic Benidorm
27 October 2005
We loved the accommodation; spacious appartments with plenty of cupboard space & large sunny balconies (all overlooking the magnificent pool). As our holiday was early October, we didn't have problems with either the lifts or queues at the bars. The evening entertainment was good, if rather short, perhaps due to being out of season. The sports/gym facilities are good and a real Godsend for our 2 older-teenage sports fanatic lads! We were surprised at the lack of interest by other guests for the sports competitions. The food was of average quality but plenty to choose from. We found eating at the different Magic hotels with our "All Inclusive" card a bonus as this enabled us to "feel" the livelier areas of Benidorm. The hotel is handy for the small beach of "Finestrat" and the weekly market is right outside. One big negative; too much smoke in the bars.

i think this hotel was horrible. the rooms were cold and disgusting the bed sheets were horrible. it was cold in the room and didnt make you feel comfortable at all, the waiters in the resturants were very moody and seemed like they didnt want to help. I think you could do alot better and the hotel recked our holiday

Review of 'MAGIC MONIKA HOLIDAYS'

The hotel has good sized apartments with plenty of wardrobe space. We were allocated a room on the 12th floor which had a good view of the surrounding area but I would not have liked to be too much higher (23 floors in total) as sometimes getting a lift was a problem and we had to walk down the stairs. The hotel entertainment was average and sometimes we had long queues for drinks due to staff shortages. The biggest disappointment was the quality of the food and we chose to eat in the Crystal Park hotel every night, this being one of several hotels in the same group which you are allowed to use with your all inclusive card. The local bus for Benidorm stops outside the hotel and is a very clean and reliable form of transport. The highlights of the holiday for us were the pool - excellent size with plenty of beds - and the kids club for my 4 year old daughter.
