Review of 'MAESTRANZA'
04 October 2005
Hotel Maestranza is very well signposted at you enter Ronda and is situated opposite the Bull Ring. Its situation makes it very convenient for exploring the town. There are many restaurants and bars within easy walking distance catering for a variety of tastes with banks and cashpoints for topping up the funds. At the hotel we experienced minimal traffic noise even though it's on a main road. Underground parking is available at the hotel (for a small charge), which is one of the reasons we originally chose the hotel as parking in Ronda is a nightmare. If you are unsure about driving down the steep entrance to the hotel's car park a member of staff will park for you - there is a lift from the car park to the reception and two lifts to the accommodation floors. We found the staff very helpful. There is an elegant restaurant which serves excellent meals and a small cafe attached to the hotel which is used by the locals, a good indication of value for money! Our room was very comfortable although the bed was rather hard, the bathroom was very clean and modern. The only thing I would mention is that we did miss tea making facilities in the room. I understand they have rooms especially equipped for people with dust allergies. From our experiences during a 4 night stay at the Maestranza, we would certainly have no hesitation in recommending it.
