Magnificent Madeira Centro
29 March 2008
Having spent many holidays in Benidorm over the last 40 years and experiencing many 4 star hotels, I would have to list the Madeira Centro as my No 1 choice. The staff and service was second to none. The food was of very good quality with plenty of choice; each day it was a treat to eat in the restaurant. The accommodation was sumptuous with every home comfort and after requesting by letter, a seaview, we were provided with a magnificent view on the 13th floor. We cannot wait to return in 2009 and will use Alpharooms once again as they provided great value for money and all promises fulfilled.

Brilliant Hotel
06 March 2008
Just returned from a 10 day break at this hotel, been to Benidorm loads but this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in. Excellent location, 5 mins from beach and old town. Food, staff, rooms and service were all excellent. We were on the 19th floor, which I was a bit apprehensive about at first, but it was brilliant - the views over the beach, old town and Poniente side were breathtaking - and to sit on your balcony each evening with bacardi & coke in hand watching the sun set and get a tan in February was sheer bliss! Plenty of lifts so never waiting long even at peak times and the glass lift that runs up the outside of the building is certainly worth a try. Pool area quite small for size of hotel but with such a beautiful beach 5 mins away that wasn't a problem. We found a lovely english pub - Pig & Whistle - which had a great atmosphere and loads of live Sport on TV! Yet again another perfect break with Alpha Rooms

Probably the best hotel in Benidorm
17 July 2007
Perfect central location just 5 minutes to the beach and old town. Rooms are large as are the bathrooms. Mini bar is also good value. All balconies have great views the higher the better.
Food plenty of choice, excellent quality, never dull or repetative.
Staff all well trained and helpful. Public areas are spacious and well kept. Plenty of lifts so no waiting at peak times.
All in all a great hotel deserving the four star rating.

top hotel
18 June 2007
As this was our first holiday abroad we don't have anything to compare it to but we did have a lovely time in the hotel and all staff were very helpful. The kids loved the pool and spent most of their time there. The room was very nice and had a superb view day and night and was very close to the beach and shops ect.... the only problem with this hotel is that they don't have a first aider which we needed when my husband slipped in the pool area and cut his head open we basically had to sort him out ourselves as they didnt have anyone there to attend to him which I thought was a little bit on the stupid side because it could have been a lot worse, perhaps they should look into that. All in all it was a terrific holiday and we were just glad we chose such a nice and comfortable hotel. The food was really nice and the waiting staff were very good with the little ones. So yes I think we will go there again.

Best hotel in Benidorm for position with a good outlook from all rooms. Food quality is good if not a little Spanish. This is our second year in this hotel with our daughter and her young family. The only complaint is that children are not allowed in the entertainment lounge, as it doubles as a smoke room. We still can't find a better hotel for us and will book again next year.

The almost there
28 December 2006
We stayed in this hotel previously 2002,and enjoyed ourselves, not so this time. The dining area was chaos, the food dreadful and the staff would make basil faulty seem positively polite.
The rooms were very good, chamber maids very good, but if you like good food and waiter service avoid this hotel.

You 'WILL' like Benidorm!!!
16 December 2006
Having friends (especially the BA crew member!)who turned their nose up to a visit to Benidorm year after year meant that I had to pull out all of the stops to convince them to visit!
Avoiding the "New Town" was my 1st thought, strolling the Old Town was a must and a visit to Guadalest and Alicante with Tapas and traditional lunches with Cava and Wine had to be high on the agenda for the 3 night visit!
Next Job was to find a Hotel that would be suitable for the World Class travellers and after being a regular visit to Benidorm, this was the hardest task!
Fear no more a visit to Alpha Rooms and seeing the Madiera Centro reminded me that it had been demolished before my very eyes and rebuilt recently... Hey Presto! There we were - Great Rooms, Great Views - Great Food and a happy bunch of friends!!
Where next - Let's see what Alpha Rooms can offer for 2008!

I recently stayed at the madeira centro hotel & would strongly reccondmend you try this one. This has to be one of the best hotels in benidorm ive stayed in years. The location is very good, just off the square at calle esperante/calle mediteranio. The food is excellent with plenty to choose from,& the facillities in the hotel are very good as well. I was overjoyed with my room which was on the 16th floor & had some great views & the staff were always helpfull, even though some of them didn't understand or speak english. This is well worth a visit in the future. I would certainly stay there again myself.

Six of us stayed at the Madeira Centro and had a smashing time the staff were really nice, hotel spotless and food superb there was nothing to fault about it at all except for a minor point in that one of us did not have a balcony but having said that we were out most of the time. We shall go back again.

31 July 2006
This was our fifth stay at the Madeira Centro and i have to say that it has definately disimproved greatly. The reception staff in particular, David was beyond rude, ignoring us for long periods and when he did attend to us it was with severe arrogance, however Pedro also at reception was always courteous and polite. The high points of the hotel are the location and the cleaniness. We were half board and the food was ok,though again a disimprovement from last year. The rooms very standard if not slightly to much on the small side, but again very clean. Would seriously have to think about whether i would stay here again, when one is paying for a service one does not expect to be met with blind indifference from certain hotel staff. Its a pity because other than that i quite liked the hotel.

We found this Hotel excellent. Food, facilities, accomodation, services and staff were all first class. We travelled in June when most of the clientelle were Spanish and there were few families with youngsters running around which made for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. Good location close to the Old Town and Beach or a short walk to the new Town pubs, clubs and bars etc. Highly recommended

usd hotel for short break in April. All facilities were good, bedrooms clean and comfortable, food excellent. SAtayued bed and breakfast and could not fault choice and amount of food available in dining room. Only downside as in other reviews was entertainmaent more geared towards spanish. One minor fault found desk staff were efficient but unfriendly.

MADEIRA CENTRO'
01 April 2006
A well placed hotel for sea & shops. 21 floors served by 4 internal lifts & one outside lift which allows outside viewing. Comfortable & clean twin room with a good sized balcony, from our sixteenth floor a good view of the sea & old town was appreciated. A good buffet selection for breakfast & evening meals, not perhaps very Spanish balanced, but quite acceptable. The tables were cleared a bit to quickly, before both diners had finished eating. The wines & other drinks were not overpriced. A hotel to be used again if visiting Benidorm.

Hotel spotlessly clean, food generally good. Dining room staff somewhat overworked and not friendly. Very little English spoken or understood, Front Desk or Dining Room. The hotel was about 50% full Sunday to Thursday, but became 100% at full weekends, The system in the Dining room could not cope with the numbers, and availability of some food items was lacking. Entertainment was provided in the shape of a band, but the area was also the designated Smoking area, Very few seats in the Public areas ,other than in the Bar or Music room. The location of the hotel is excellent, easy walk to beach and lots of public transport within 100 yards walk.

Review of 'MADEIRA CENTRO'
21 February 2006
On arrival at the hotel the check in was very speedy. We were very impressed with how modern and clean the hotel was on arrival. The rooms are very spacious, with 2 queen size beds, ample sliding mirrored wardrobes and fantastic bathroom with power shower and a very deep bath, which is brilliant for kids. There is a mini bar and tv as well as a large balcony with fantastic views of benidorm. If you have the stomach for it, there is a panoramic glass lift all the way to floor 21 which is breathtaking. The indoor pool area is brilliant when the weather is not great, but the outside pool and kids play area is great when the sun shines. Meals in the hotel are very reasonable. There is a selection of cooked breakfast items as well as continental, pastries, fruit, breads and toast. Although if you are a cereal person you may be disappointed with the availability of your favourites, unless you like muesli and dried fruits. Evening meals were also good, lots of home favourites as well as plenty of salads and international cuisine. The location is fantastic and the hotel is very comfortable either for a long weekend or a full 2 week holiday, I would not hesitate booking here again and also recommending it to others, excellent value.

We have been to Benidorm many times but this time we took in-laws for their 1st trip and we weren't disappointed, the hotel was first class.Right in the middle of the resort everything is easily accesible, sea a couple of hundred yards, buses around the corner 1 minute away, many resteraunts and shops.an ideal location. The hotel itself is superb, the bedrooms are very spacious with mini - bar, TV, hairdryer all mod cons, the food was excellent at every meal with lot's of choice and staff were very friendly all over the hotel. The only critiscism is that the bar where the entertainment is held is very small for the size of hotel and the entertainment itself was not that wonderful.Overall we had a great time and in-laws cannot wait to go back.

The hotel was fab. Rooms were clean and spacious. decor was very nice. reception staff were helpful and spoke reasonably good english..Entertainment every night, singers and groups which appealed to all ages. Plenty to do in Benidorm English pubs, bingo, bowling etc Big tv sky news, Cnn, BBc World and eurosport were the only english channels but better than nothing at all. Hairdryer was good and the rooms were cleaned daily. we used the indoor pool paid 20 euros deposit for towels which was returned after use. lockers require a 1 euro coin. nice warm pool area though water was a bit cold till u got used to it. saw the sauna but didn't use it...looked fine. the food was really good..plenty of choice for all... hot (meat and fish)and cold (salads etc) main meals and choice of sweet including fresh fruit, yoghurts and icecream. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel and would use it again

Hotel very friendly, especially good with children. Mine were aged 5 and 6 and enjoyed the entertainment even though it was predominately spainish. Food is excellent catered for a wide palate. My son has nut allergy and egg sensitivity and had no problems. Even has a section for dieters. Room was of a good standard and was cleaned daily. Quite central to surrounding entertainment and 5 minutes walk to beach across a busy road. Mcdonalds directly next door aswell. 2 hotel pools one indoors and one out not large but adequate and an outdoor hot tub. Would recommend.

arrived beginning of oct 05, first impression very nice, nice foyer. arrived at midday was told the room was not ready, so returned at 1:15 as requested still the room was not ready,(after queuing and watching the spanish people checking in and getting there keys) room was still not ready, had lunch, returned to reception but still the room was not ready, told to come back in 15 minutes. when finally got to the room, room looked a lot smaller than advertised, but very nice, great view from the 17th floor overlooking old and new town and the beach, very impressive. went to the mini bar, minature bottles looked tampered with, levels of alcohol some half filled, glasses in mini bar had lipsticks stains over them and clearly had not been changed. the hotel has a televison with internet access, needed new batteries in the remote control which i got on the second day, which acessed free films and music, this was great, this also had a speaker in the bathroom, great whilst soaking in the bath. the food at the restaurant was very spanish but very nice (king prawns, fresh orange juice, bulls tails and cava wine at breakfast) overall a good selection to suit everyones tastes. around the pool plenty of sunbeds and parasols, there is a nice outdoor pool, (did not use as it was freezing), jacuzzi first 2 days was not filled, went down on the 3rd day and they were filling it, it was freezing, thinking it would take a few hours to heat up but it never, went to the jacuzzi the next day still freezing. this hotel has a heated indoor pool which was very nice but unfortunately was being painted inside, (this should not affect anyone else staying after our stay). overall after being made to wait for the room, and a few minor problems sorted this would be a great place to stay, unfortunately we were just there for 4 days.

We are a family of four - our boys are 2 and 6 years old. Our holiday was for 2 weeks in July/August 2005
Room details: We stayed in a quad room on the 19th floor . Balcony view was spectacular. Room had air con - essential with temperatures in the late 30s. No privacy between the 2 x double beds - no problem with young children. TV with some english channels and pay options. Well furnished, cleaned daily to a high standard, however late we left the room.
Drinks: good variety, fairly priced. The ground floor terrace bar was popular with locals/non-residents.
Indoor and outdoor pools are both small but little used and children/adults are well behaved pool side.
Food very good, provided your palate is a little adventurous. lots of seafood and a Spanish slant to the menu. Not too good if your preference is thoroughly english/macdonalds/kfc.
Location: very close to Levante/Old Town/Poniente. Buses stop just around the corner and go widely for 90c.
SUMMARY: excellent.

Review of Gran Bali Hotel
20 July 2005
Benidorm was a wonderful place to enjoy with group of mates from local pub. Everything you could wish for on the entertainment front. However, the hotel Gran Bali is certainly no 4 Star rating establishment. The staff are miserable and the bar staff are difficult teetering on arrogant.Rooms spacious and kept clean with regular bed linen and towel changes. An ascent to the roof terrace via the glass lifts is a must to see all of Benidorm from on high. We will be booking again for next year but Gran Bali will most certainly not be on our list of hotels.

Beautiful Hotel inside and out. We arrived in a rental car and had a little bit of difficulty finding the car park at first due to building work nearby. Car park is 10 euros per day.
Reception very quick and professional, 5 different lifts to all floors including a panoramic one. Rooms all with sea facing views with nice bathrooms and good storage space.
Restuarant - a tad disappointing for us, we went half board which means you can have either lunch or dinner each day - but it wasnt to our pallets. There was a good selection of salads/fruits everyday but we found the hot choices a slight letdown - but I am a fussy eater anyway.
Bar - service varied depending on which waiters were on duty, but we found the prices reasonable compared with other places in the area.
Overall - lovely relaxing hotel, with all you need for a holiday. Great location, a couple of mins from levante beach.

five of us stayed at the madeira centro for new year wow! what a great place. The rooms were spotless with fantastic views. The hotel was a definite 5 star. Food was great and plenty of it. We stayed for the New Year Gala - what a feast and the staff were marvellous. The indoor pool was a must as even though weather good for time of year no way could you sit around the oustside pool or swim. Only downfall was evening entertainment, but hey you make your own. the hotel in great position in old town near to beach and shops. But dont go here if you looking for bingo and english food this hotel has class and is very spanish a taste of culture - as they say when in spain ..... we felt really pampered staying there for new year.

There was not one problem with this hotel and would recemend it to anyone. If i go back to benidorm i will highly concider staying again.
