Booking with Alpha Rooms was quick and easy and was also the cheapest rate available via Trivago and I had been researching prices over several weeks.
As we were attending a wedding I had asked if we could check in between 1 and 1.30 I was advised this shouldn't be a problem.
As my husband has walking difficulties I had telephoned to request a ground floor room as after booking realised there was no lift.
We received a warm welcome from reception staff, our room was ready however we had been allocated a room outside the main building on the second floor. I mentioned my previous request and we were immediatley given a room on the ground floor.
The room was a little on the small side but extremely clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was served between 8 and 10 am we arrived at 09.15 and didn't leave until 10.15am. The service was extremely slow and we had to request service several times. The waitress did say why does everyone arrive for breakfast after 9am - Well it is Sunday morning!
We really enjoyed the weddng we attended however drinks at the bar were extremely expensive i.e. a pint of lager and a vodka with diet coke £10.15.
Unfortunately due to timescales we didn't have the opportunity to use the spa facilities.
The best thing about my stay was…
Attending a lovely wedding and the sheets on the bed were fabulous
