Establishment Ouro Preto was the colonial capital of Brazil and is considered by the UNESCO to be a historical patrimony of humanity. Installed in a large house of the 18th century, Luxor Ouro Preto Pousada is part of this atmosphere of art and history, and offers the charm and comfort of the hospitable people of Minas Gerais. The hotel is located in the Historical Center, near the main plaza and the Church of N.S. da Conceição (Our Lady of Conception). The 10 Standard rooms (7 with double beds and 3 with single beds) are furnished with replicas of furniture of the 18th century. They all have views of the churches and are equipped with TV, mini-bar, telephone and private bathroom (some with bathtubs). The atmosphere of the restaurant is like a voyage into the past: the structure of the large house is preserved, with stone walls and furniture which create an 18th-century colonial atmosphere, appropriate for a candlelight dinner. To this cozy atmosphere add the well-prepared, delicious Brazilian cuisine, fondues and flambeaus (the banana flambé is our dessert suggestion). The restaurant is open every day of the week.
