Brilliant location, clean, friendly staff
09 September 2008
Just come back from a week in Ibiza, stayed at the Lux Mar for 3 nights and another hotel for the last 4 nights as we were meeting with friends in a different part of ibiza. I looked at the reviews of the Lux Mar before I booked and was really pleased with the hotel. On arrival the staff we friendly, showed us a room to leave our luggage and we sat by the pool for a few hours until we could check in at 2pm. The pool are has lots of sunbeds and it did not get busy until around 2pm even then there were still spare sunbeds. There was a mixture of ages mainly people in their late 20's early 30's, only saw one family. The hotel was mainly filled with foreigners so if you're looking for somewhere that is full with English then this may not be the hotel for you. The other guests kept themselves to themselves and the hotel never seemed that busy, the other pool by the bar and reception only ever had a couple of people there sunbathing. Our rooms were spaceous, fridge, cookers, cutlery (no bottle opener so take one) air con, tv, balcony with a view over the sea when we looked to our left. I cannot comment on noise during the night as we did not go out til around 11 and did not return until 6-7 in the morning however when we did sleep we were not woken up, just remember to put your do not disturb sign outside the door!!
Location was brilliant, 15 min walk from Ibiza old town when you turned left out of the hotel, if you turned right walked along around 100 meters then down an slight hill towards the sea you will find lots of restaurants, bars and the beach. The restaurants on the sea front are lovely we ate in one that looked out onto the sea it was a fish restaurant however I cannot remember the name. You can also buy club tickets from the hotel. There is a small shop around 1 mins walk turn right from the hotel where you can buy water, beer, snacks etc. The hotel staff are very helpful and speak all languages. They would call taxi's for us as well as direct us with printed off maps to the bus station if you wanted to get a bus over to San An as a taxi is around 25 euros, the bus is only 1.75 euros, big saving! You are not far by taxi or bus from Space, Amnesia, Privilage, El Divino. I would def stay in this hotel again as we only paid around £35 per person per night for self catering.

YOU GET WAHT YOU PAY FOR
26 June 2008
Stayed at Luxmar for 4 nights mid June 08. Good location and facilities were fine, although 2 large groups of lads did make it quite noisy at times - but hey we were all on holiday!!!
Clean, all worked and for the price we paid good value for money. Will consider using it again - although building a new large sports bar almost next door may alter my view when it is open - very soon!.

Value for money
24 June 2008
Just arrived back from first time in Luxmar after a long weekend with 6 girls on a party weekend. Wouldn't recommend it for families with children, more of a singles and couples hotel. Clean and tidy basic self catering apartments, although a little small. The sun terrace is nice, with a good size pool. l
Location a little far from beach, about a 20 min walk and 30 mins from night life. But overall value for money and would go again.

not as bad as expected
19 May 2008
Having read of all sorts about burglaries, extortionate deposits and grumpy receptionists my friends and I were fearing the worst when we stayed for two nights as part of a stag do. We were more than a little pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Clean rooms decent shower/bathroom and all lifts in good working order fit perfectly for what we needed. You are far enough away from the rowdy night life to get a good nights sleep but close enough to the beach and bars so it isn't too far to walk. Do be aware of the 50 euro deposit per person not per room though, does seem a little steep and was actually more than we paid per head for the room! The hotel fit perfectly for what we needed ie a place to rest our heads after a day at the beach and night in the bars, whether I would feel the same after more than a couple of nights, I doubt very much!

Where's the cleaner????
04 May 2008
We stayed here 2 years ago so knew what to expect. Plus side-convenient to bars/restaurants/supermarket and cheap price of room. Downside-Pool not very warm or clean and cleaner didn't come at all during our 4 nights stay and no clean towels either.

Great location
23 April 2008
I stayed with my two teenage daughters and thier friend, they have stayed at the Luxmar before and feel very comfortable there.
The small bar is ideal for a drink,(quite cheap),while waiting for everyone to get ready.
The location of the Luxmar couldn't be better, mornings breakfast just around the corner 3 Euros,Lunch a few minutes stroll and eat from 2.50 Euros upwards, nightlife, what do you want? a pub crawl-no problem,a show-loads of em,disco, karioke, kids playgrounds ou name it.
Grab a free copy of the local paper(in English) from 'Around Town' information office,at less than a minute from the apartments,it's got everthing you need to know in it.
Book with Alpharooms,go to Benidorm and enjoy.

Stag Party friendly
12 June 2007
We took a group of over 20 to this hotel, We couldnt really have any complaints with any majors facilities. Only to agree with a couple of the other reviews made, regards to the 50 Euros deposit per person(not per room) and occasional one of the lifts not working. There was the occasions when there would only be one member of staff to run reception and the bar facilities. But overall I would rate this hotel, especially for the cost(£112 for 4 nites and the rooms fit 4 with ease) Location wise 10-min to the main square. but plenty of places to drink on the way. We would stay again

Value
13 May 2007
We found the luxmar accomodation to be basic, although this is not to put it down. It was clean and for value for money it was unbeatable. The balcony was huge and if your the type that likes to relax with a drink on the balcony this is for you. However dont look for a lot of sun on the balcony, like a lot of accomodation in Benidorm it is overshadowed by other high rise hotels, Don't know if an apartment higher up might have solved this. Don't know what earlier reviewers were going on about, there was no secret made of the fact that a 50 Euros or 20 pound deposit was required, which is normal for self catering apartments in Spain. We enjoyed our stay at the Luxmar and will return.

Review of 'Luxmar'
27 January 2007
Just returned after spending 9 days at Luxmar. Apartment was clean and tidy, and I found the staff very helpful indeed. Good location, only a shortish walk from the main clubs and bars, but numerous smaller bars and restaurants very close indeed.
Still working on repairing one of the 2 lifts but that was only a minor inconvienience and will be sorted this month.
Overall - good value, good service and I will definitely use them again!

21 July 2006
Just stayed at the Luxmar Hotel, and was very pleased for the value of money. It was a group of 4 young lads and we had no complaints what so ever. We realy enjoyed the pool area and the hotle was very clean.
The luxmar is in a great area, because it is not near any of the night life so you cant hear any banging tunes if you wanted to get to sleep, but is barly a 15 minute walk to where it all happens! This was ideal for us.
We stayed in till like 2 or 3 every afternoon and there were no problems with noise.
With of us staying for 10 days, it worked out at £10 a night, which is amazing for the amount and quality of what you recieve.
Would definitly consider going again,

Review of 'LUXMAR'
16 July 2006
When we booked the Luxmar I was dreading getting there when we first arrived in Benidorm! I was most surprised when we arrived it looked so much better than i imagined it to look!
On check in we was very dissapointed to realise that the deposit for the room was 50 euro or £40 for each person in one room, so they had 200 euro off us for one room(as 4 of us in room)!!!!!!!! (so take extra money if you don't want to hand over your passport)
The man on reception was very moody as i had read in previous reviews!! he had no sympathy that the deposit was part of our spending money and didn't really care at all!!!!! Friends of ours didn't bring enough money for they trip and deposit so thay had to hand over there passport to the man!!
As we got talking to people around the pool people paid different prices for the deposit guys on a stag trip paid only 20 euro ppproom, but as other people checked in we heard him say 60 euro!! so be nice when you go in!!!!!!!!!!!
rooms were ok for us a group of 19 women but no good for a family!!! unless wanted to eat out every night!!
you are given 2 keys per room and one of the girls lost one key and they charged 30 euro for a new one!!
No food avalible from the bar!!
pool was ok for us for 3 nights but all very deep throughout i'm 5'6 and i couldn't touch the floor(there is a childrens small pool)!!
Beach is walking distance and ok!! The union jack around the corner is a nice breakfast place!!
on the hole i enjoyed it and would stay here again if i ever went back to benidorm again!!!

Stayed at luxmar for 12 nights with my husband in April/May 2006.Total cost of stay was £218:00,which worked out at £109:00 each, fantastic value for money.Had read some bad reviews about luxmar, including problems with dirty rooms etc.Apartments are made up of 1 good size twin bedroom, good size bathroom, small but well equipped kitchen and small lounge which includes 2 bed/sofas and pay per view tv.The biggest surprise was the size of the balcony,it was nearly as big as the apartment with french doors leading onto it from lounge and bedroom.Found the apartment very clean and the bedding and towels were also spotless.Location of luxmar is excellent with beach only 10 mins.walk away, pubs restaurant and shops all within a 100 hundred yards.Clean, basic, good value accomadation.

Review of 'LUXMAR'
04 May 2006
Friendly staff and spacious apartment. Clean, tidy and presentable. The kitchen came complete with an electric kettle.
The television had just 3 channels (all English), including a Sky film and Sports channel. The TV took a 1 Euro coin for 90 minutes. Good value compared to a daily fee if you don't use it that much but perhaps not for a young family.
The accommodation is also a little tired and dated in places.
But overall I was very satisfied with my stay and the value for money. The beach and bars were just a short 5 - 10 minute walk away.

Review of 'LUXMAR'
18 April 2006
our room was a dump! their was electrical sockets hanging from the walls, light fittings hanging by the wires from the ceiling, broken floor tiles. The balcony had been taken away and windows had been put in but nobody had thought of cleaning the dirt and bird droppings from the supports that had once been outside and were now part of the living area. there were dangerous mental brackets which seemed to have no purpose sticking out of the wall. you had to judge what times you went to the pool very carefully as it lies in the shadows of 2 larger hotels and recieved sunlight for only short periods of the day. there was also a new block of apartments being built beside the luxmar which we were not warned about. we did not rate these apartments at all and would not recommend them to others

Review of 'LUXMAR'
23 March 2006
Excellent position within easy walking of the beach and night life in the Levante area, but far enough away not to be noisy. (The "old town" is only a 25 minute walk.) The huge Wednesday/Sunday market is just at the end of the road where you can find just about anything, fruit especially good and cheap. The apartments are clean and regularly serviced, having in our case a large balcony going right across the back and around the side. Best balconies are in rooms ending with 1 or 5. The staff speak English and are very helpful. The apartment bar is open until 3.00 in the morning for that last night cap before bed! Value for money - 10 out of 10. Apartments might feel a little cramped for 4 adults, but if you are there for the beach and the night life won't be a problem.

My second stay here, so I new what to expect, the cleaners were quick clean and very friendly, why this place has not a star rating is beyond me.I have stayed in 3 star that are no better I stayed their in jan/2006 for 6weeks and the weather very cold at times but the apartment was allways very warm.My only gripe was a very rude barman who thought TV in the lounge was for his own private use. I recomend it to anyone who wants a bit of peace and quite, and will stay their again in Benidorm.

The apartment inside was well maintained, although i was very disapointed with the building work being carried out on the 7th floor during my stay. I was transferred to another apartment after 2 days on the 16th floor. i wouldn't recconmend these apartments for people who wish to stay out late, due to work being carried out early the following morning.Apart from that,i enjoyed the holiday, and will be returning again to benidorm next winter as well.

Review of ROSAMAR
13 December 2005
Just spent 2 weeks in the Rosamar, clean comfortable accom; food really good, loads of choice, and plenty of it. A group of 10 of us stayed there, and not one complaint from anyone for the whole holiday. Rooms where cleaned regularly and where of ample size for two. Noise from the adjacent building site was kept to a minimum, but we where in Spain, and as we all know, building goes on all year round. Have tried to re-book for same period next year, but bookings not available yet. Shall have to keep an eye on the site for availabillity !! Gets my vote, ten out of ten.

when i booked this accommodation, i thought it looked ok and i asked a collegue what they thought as they have stayed here before, then i looked at the internet and thought 'what have i booked', but when i arrived, i must admit the man on receptionist was a bit moody, but other than that the accommodation was standard with a good size balcony and apartment. The apartments was a ten minuite walk from the bars and beach. I would definatly recommend these apartments for groups of friends, as they can get quite noisey over all great location and great value for money, there were 12 of us mixed genders and it was fantastic!!

lovely little luxmar
25 July 2005
Just back after a great trip to Benidorm staying at the Luxmar aparthotel. My goal for picking a hotel was good quality, clean, cheap accomodation in a great location. Really felt I achieved evey goal! The apartments were nice and simple and very well kept with a lovely pool area with late bar and food all day. But 1 word best descibes this hotel "LOCATION"! This hotel is in within easy walking distance to Levante beach as described but also is within walking distance to the geat attractions of Benidorm such as Aqualandia, Mundomar and Benidorm Palace Which are all an essential when visiting Benidorm. All in all a nice hotel in a great location!
