We arrived mid june to the luxmar, booked on line with alpha rooms and had no probs checking in ,cheers guys .. Hotel looked deceiving from the pics we had seen, but we were later impressd, staff all good english and freindly .. We were given rooms in the tropical garden with sea veiw , not bad, room size was spacious enoght even with 4, clean ,tidy and airconditioned what more do u need on hols... Location was alright for us cause we had the car, town centre bout 15 mins walk , playa den bossa about 1 hr , 45 with a few drinks.. worth goin for the water park and bora bora. The figuerates beach isnt all that great so we spent most our time up the coast , some good restaurants tho, if your tight for cash the hotel food served all day is pretty sweet, dinner served at seven every day , 12 euro eat as much as u want, we took out every day cant beat it. regards night time some noise but if u come to ibiza thats what u gotta expect , if its to loud your to old , overall met some good people there and really enjoyed our stay, onemore thing if u got a car becareful parking it at night some guys recked our car in the free carpark ... laters people enjoy and dont listen to any negative people

Clean, basic, good value

Little bit noisy but then this is a young person's hotel and the corridors are all marble so the noise reverberates a bit.
Good clean pool (maybe they've gone a bit over board with the chlorine) and the room was a good size and clean.
Nice friendly happy receptionist and ample parking about 100 metres from the hotel.
Overall, good standard of hotel if you're in Ibiza to party and are not fussed about a little bit of noise in the early hours. Great value for money.

I have stayed in numerous places in Ibiza for years but the Lux Mar was perfect! I cannot think of anything I would change! The rooms were cleaned daily - the hotel staff went the extra mile to give you all the help they possibly could - in fact all the staff were extreme friendly at all times! I will be booking again for Sep - Brilliant!!!

Back for second stay!

I stayed at the LuxMar last September for a few days for a birthday and when a group of us decided to go back for a whole week this year I had no hesitation staying there again. The price is excellent for a good spacious room with aircon, fridge, tv etc. It was slightly noisier this time, but like most big hotels it just depends on who is staying at the time, and I just put my earplugs in. Both times it was easy to get a space round the pool, and none of the usual towels on the sunbeds early business either! Its ideally situated for either the Figueretas seafront or a 10 minute stroll into Ibiza Town. The friendly maid service cleans and changes towels every day, the hotel reception staff are great and will book restaurants and taxis for you so what more can I say? We've been back for more and can still recommend it, so what more can I say!

WARNING - DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IN MAY!!!! - I Have just returned from the Lux Mar Complex , stayed 10th-17th May , first two nights were nice , although was put into an apartment in the Panoramic building ( there are three in total ) which faced onto the stair cases of the opposite building ( Tropical ) on day three of the restful holiday over 100 spanish students arrived here and were all put into the Tropical building - All I can say is the noise level from then on in was unbearable !!! shouting across to each others balconies , playing in the pool until all hours , drinking in corridors and stair wells. I phoned many times to complain and the hotel did then lay on a night watch man who broke up things to his best ability. I later found out from other guests that the students stay here every year , and the previous year , again in May at some point , police were called as the students were so out of control on drink etc. After complaining again , and after 2 days of no sleep finally got moved to a lovely apartment overlooking the sea , but the noise level just got worse! - all credit to the hotel they knew the students were noisy but couldnt really stop them apart from individual gags! , also going to this resort in May before the 18th , everything is mostly shut up in figeuretus. The accomodation is spotless , and the maids never spot throughout the day which is good , but when all you can hear are their cleaning trolly's back and forth along the corridor , it begins to drive you crazy. I booked this hotel after reading all the reviews on here , and no disrepect to alpharooms , they were not to know the place is over run with students at this time, all i would say is , a great hotel lovely location lovely pools , 10 mis to the town , 2 mins to sea front bars and restaurants. I wish Id gone late may when there was more atmosphere and NO students!!

Some girlfriends and I went there for a weekend; I only stayed two nights however the other girls stayed there for four. We stayed at the end of the season so it was very quiet however we were impressed with the staff, the position of hotel, the facilities and everything it had to offer. I would recommend staying at this clean and very reasonably priced hotel to anyone. I would also say go to Ibiza in summer as the winter is a little dead. We made our own fun with the locals however if you want to see Ibiza in its true party form go a few months earlier then October.

lovely hotel-perfect for any kind of holiday

me and my friend stayed here for 10 days, having self-catering was great and the hotel was very clean, maids came by every day. if you want a proper party holiday id maybe recommend playa d'en bossa or san antonio, but I enjoyed being able to get a short bus or taxi ride to these places and having somewhere quieter to go back to when i needed a bit of peace and sleep! surprisingly quiet which was great, lovely sea view and air con. great location because you're not in the centre of the action (although there are plenty of bars and resaurants and a nice beach in figuretas) but are so close by to everything. enjoyed being with mainly spanish and italian people in figuretas, felt more like i was on holiday! pacha and el divino are walking distance away (about 40min) which was great and ibiza town was very pretty, had some lovely cafes. the staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly and booking with alpha rooms was very easy, no problems. i'd def recommend this hotel, thought it was good value for money and i'd stay here again if I came back.

Have just spent 10 days at Lux Mar with my brother and we had a great time.....!!!! ANd were pleasantly surprised by our accomodation, as we had previously read on other websites not so great reviews.
First of all - also a big thank you to alpharooms.com - the booking was so easy, everything went smoothly and customer service was excellent.
Lux-Mar: Studio - selfcatering - Clean, every day room service, a well equipped kitchen that allows you to cook Thai Curry and Pasta etc
We got a nice room at the corner with even seaview. And we were so glad that most of our fellow Lux Mar residents were Italians (after having a rather shocking excursion to San Antonio). Once we got in the party rythm, and started living Ibiza nights to the full, we had a great night/mornings sleep without being interrrupted too much. NEvertheless, I wouldn't recommend this place to someone who is looking for total relaxation and peace as you might get woken up now and then by your neighbours, just coming home at 6 am from one of the smashing Ibiza nights. But if late nights are your thing, and you enjoy sleeping in and getting up towards mid of the day - you will find in Lux Mar your perfect haven.
Staff at Lux Mar - receptionists really great and helpful, they speak several European languages and seem to really enjoy their job
There is also an Internet terminal, for you to stay connected.
And last but not least - location is great, you are near to Space, to the city center, the bus stations that connect you to Salinas Beach or other destinations on the Island. And you are at the really nice and quiet Figuaretes Beach with nice little restaurants and all infrastructure you might need!
We'll definitely go again and book again via alpharooms!
We got more for our money, than we had expected! Go for it, too.

Lux Mar Complex - Brilliant

June 2007 was our first time at this resort, but will definitely be back. Great value for money. I stayed there with my daughter and her two children. One was a teenager and the other one three years of age. There was a lot of young people there, Italians and young people from the Spanish mainland. There wasn't a bit of trouble from any of them. Could be a wee bit boisterous some times, but hey they've got to enjoy themselves as well. Figueretas is a lovely wee place with a nice, well kept beach and some lovely eating places round about. I can recommend Home Loos Tapas Bar - the food was delicious. All in all we had a great holiday. The staff at the Lux Mar were really friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for you.

Lux Mar Hotel - great choice!

I came to Ibiza only for 5 days with a group of 11 friends. We had fantastic holiday, thanks to Lux Mar Hotel too. Kind people work there, fast service, good location, nice rooms, tasty food and the best thing: price! I think that you won`t find better hotel in the price of Lux Mar. I can truly recommend this hotel to everybody who would like to visit Ibiza!

This hotel is in a perfect location and has everything you could want for a fun holiday in ibiza. 10mins walk to ibiza town where all the clubs/bars are and 5min walk to the beach to chill in the day. Hotel rooms were lovely and clean , hotel staff were friendly and helpful and for the price this hotel was excellant value for money. Would definately stay here again and recomend it to anyone.

Whether you would like The Lux Mar really depends on what you’re looking for from your accommodation. We come out to Ibiza at either the start or the end of every season, as we like to get out in the car to the quieter beaches and restaurants and the closing and opening parties at space and Pacha are legendary. For this reason we think of our hotel as a base. We wanted somewhere clean, pretty quiet, within walking distance to Ibiza town, that didn't cost the earth. For us, The Lux Mar defiantly fitted the bill.
The Hotel: The Luxmar is a complex which is made up of three hotel buildings so it’s of quite a fair size but not too big. We stayed in the building called the Panoramic. The pool and bar areas are well kept and the staff friendly and polite, though the staff we spoke to didn’t speak much English - hey you are in Spain! We didn’t eat or drink in the hotel bar so on this I can’t comment. The rooms are what you would expect to find in Spain, very basic but they were cleaned daily to high standard by our friendly maid. The cupboards are stocked with plenty of glasses, plates, pans and even a tea towel - but as I said it is still all very basic. The winning factor for me was the lovely view out to sea - make sure you ask for a sea view room.
The Location: The Panoramic is situated on a fairly quiet road leading up from Figueretas beach’s bars and restaurants. There are a few little shops near by to get those forgotten odds and ends and a cheap little typically Spanish bar across the road if you fancy a quick drink before walking into Ibiza town or Figueretas. The location is one of the hotels best features only 5- 10 min walk down to Figueretas (down hill going and uphill coming back) or a 10 – 15 min walk into Ibiza town (this is along an unmade road that leads round the back of Dalt Vila down onto Vera Del Ray- I wouldn’t recommend for people with trouble walking or the elderly)
All in all a great base for getting out and seeing beautiful Ibiza!

I was impressed with the quality of the Lux Mar, especially considering the price I had paid. The room was spotless and the cleaners worked very hard every day- with the added bonus of not starting early in the morning to wake you up if you wanted a sleep in! The staff were very helpful, speaking a wide variety of languages including very fluent English. I would definitely stay there again. The beach, cafes and bars were only a short walk away. The pool area was very well set out and there were lots of sunloungers available.

The Lux-Mar ofers great value for money,friendly staff speaking good English and a convenient location.Ibiza Town and Playa D'en Bossa are walkable therefore saving us a fortune on cabs.Good air con in the rooms.We booked an apartment for 4,this comprised 2 single beds and a settee/bed with another bed that pulled out from underneath all in one room.A bit disappointing but hey it was cheap.Pool was great and lots of waxed Italian stallions to ogle if you're into that sort of thing!We enjoyed our stay and would probably go back.

Brilliant for a 2 star! Very clean - excellent location - within easy distance of Ibiza town center and several beaches. Great reception staff - very friendly and helpful. Great value for money - would definitley return here for a a cheap and cheerful holiday.

The Hotel Lux Mar complex is an excellent value hotel which couples excellent on site facilities (pool, bar etc) with excellent views of Evissa (Ibiza town) and Playa D'En Bossa. With literally a 5 minute walk to Figurates beach which is very clean and plenty of sun loungers and many bars and restuarants. The hotel has 3 buildings, Trpoical Garden, Panormaic and Lux Mar. The main pool is a good size with plenty of sun loungers but no pool bar (drinks/ice cream vending machine). The rooms are of a good size all with air con and TV's (Sky News/CNN only English channels), Most of the staff speak good english and are friendly and helpful. the cleaners come everyday to change bed sheets and towels. The hotel is a favoured destiantion for young italians, but they're are not as loud and loony as us brits :) The hotel is 5 min walk to the nearsest taxi rank with the Ibiza town port a mere 15 mins walk. All in all this is a fab hotel and definately worth a stay. I have stayed at this hotel 2 years on the trot and each time happy with the outcome.
