We stayed at the lux mar in May 2011great location with fabulous sea views it was worth the extra for a front facing room.Ten mins walk to old town via a tunnel and also nice beaches in the resort.All in all for what we paid very good.

Found this complex a couple of years back and now try to make it out there 1 a year. great complex and friendly staff. apartments are well equiped, 1 beds are pretty big with seperate kitchen living room. nicely located at the end of the promenade, very peaceful and quiet yet only a couple of minutes walk to the restaurants and local bars, good restaurant next door, very reasonably priced. a further few mins (20 mins max to ibiza town) early in the year just before main season everything repainted and complex in great condition. will be back next year!!

It was a wonderful holiday! We hired scooters already on the first day of our stay and went to explore the island. As we decided to have dinner every night in the different restaurant then we booked only bed&breakfast. So we needed the hotel only for taking a shower, sleeping and breakfast. And for that it was a good choice. We had everything we needed - a simple, good size room with a small kitchenette, balcony, nice and clean bathroom/shower, clean white towels every day. Aircon was working correctly. Breakfast was excellent for that kind of stars hotel - english breakfast, cheese, ham, cereal, fruits, yoghurt, tea, coffee, juice etc., etc. Wery close to the public beach and restaurants. As we were over there at the end of October and off the season, there was nice and quiet, no noisy party-people. There were two small defects - the iron was broken and the extra light in the kitchenette did not work. But these things did not breach our holiday.

Not the best room we've had here. Noise from the machinery on the roof. (Avoid rooms 505 &506) Not a problem during day One night it was a pain. We were offered an alternative room. My son and family who were with us enjoyed it here as well. Have awarded 4 stars as they would have solved the problem and all the other services were ok.

It was a very good hotel. Nice studio. Nice view and very friendly personal. Near the town. 10 min. walk to Ibiza Town. Breakfast very good. But diner often cold. We want to stay again in this hotel nex year.

Very helpfull staff, nice place to stay. High recomended. Delicious meal and I don't understand why people complained.

From the moment we arrived here the staff were helpful and friendly and continued to be so for the duration of our trip. The room itself was very clean and spacious with ample space for storage. A very good sized bathroom which was also clean, the only downside was the shower - it seemed to just trickle out whatever time of day, i suspect the head needed cleaning as the bath filled very quickly. The pool and surrounding area was a good size and never seemed to get full which was good as you don't want to feel like you're on top of people you don't know. We ate in the restaurant one night it was an all you can eat buffet for 5.50 so i wasn't expecting a lot. I was wrong - the food was great and this was even right at the end as they were about to close. The area this is in is really quiet which i think makes it perfect - the beach and a few bars/restaurants are about a 2-3 min walk away. However, it's only about a 10 min walk into Ibiza Town and 25 min cab journey to San Antonio. Excellent place to stay!

Our room was basic but clean and perfectly suitable for what my boyfriend and I needed. The location was central, in a good spot so that was great. Having a pool was an added bonus as well as free air-conditioning! Our balcony overlooked the pool and we could see the sea too which we weren't expecting. We hadn't paid for a 'pool view' so that was a nice surprise. It tended to be a bit noisy at night though with party-goers coming home in the early hours so take your ear-plugs if you want an early night! The cleaners did a good job, making the beds and changing towels etc everyday. The front desk staff weren't so friendly though, they just seemed a little bored and uninterested in their customers, verging on rude. We had a couple of minor problems in our room which were rectified after asking (twice). However, two light switches and a plug socket didn't work in our room and these were never fixed after notifying the front desk at the start of our week's stay. Overall, we'd recommend as good value accomodation in the area.

We got an automatic upgrade from a promotional room to a standard twin room. Nothing fancy about the apartment, the living area is also your sleeping area but clean and practical. Fridge/freezer and microwave supplied. Staff friendly enough. But excellent location to the old town (to the left) and Figuretas beach area (to the right). Had some noisy neighbours on the last night, but hey they were young and this is Ibiza. Good sized pool. Nice spot!

The room we booked was not available when we arrived but we were given alternative rooms, which they stated was better. The room was clean and comfortable, although had slight problems with the air con not working, but was soon sorted. Generally the staff are very helpful, and it was not too noisy on a night. The down side it the holiday was that he went for half board(breakfast and main meals). I would not recommend eating at the hotel. The food was constantly clod when it should be hot, it was tasteless, and there here little choice, this was so for both breakfast and main meals. We ended up going out for somthing tasteful and hot to eat, hence costing us more for our holiday.

We recently stayed at the Lux mar and were very pleasantly surprised by the accomodation. Rooms are spread across three buildings - the Lux Mar, the Panoramic and the Tropical Gardens. We stayed in the latter. We had a spacious studio apt with a lovely view of the large pool area. The rooms had obviously been recently renovated as they were very clean and recently painted. We were half board and were again pleasantly surprised by the food which was hot and plentiful, if a little lacking in variety. Our only gripe would be the noise levels. As ut is a very large complex there is a lot of noise at all hours. The complex also seems to attract a younger crowd who seem to find it necessary to talk at top volume and inflict their dreadful musical tastes on others. In fairness to the staff, once we complained they acted at once and got the music turned off. It was after all 2.30am!!! We love this resort as it is small and not as flashy as some of the larger towns, but next time we will stay in a smaller complex.

Stayed 4-11 May which included the weekend of the Carnival in Dalt Villa. Would not stay at this time again. Not the hotel's fault but the visitors were exceptionally noisy returning to the hotel up to 5 am. would ask for upper rooms in future Rooms were up to standard, addition of microwaves useful. Cleaned daily. Staff friendly. Car park alongside useful and free.

We stayed at this complex last year and enjoyed it so much that we decided that we would again this year. The rooms are fantastic we were allocated a 1 bedroom this year which would sleep 3. it was great to have a seperate bedroom, kitchen with all the necessary utensils and a large bathroom with powerfull shower. the location couldn't be better, just 15 mins to the old town (quicker if you take the track up the hill to the castle behind the complex) right next to the beach promanade and all the restaurants and bars there. we actually own timeshare in a gold crown resort in gran canaria and we were discussing how that aprt from the scale of the apartment and a fuller kitchen the standard at these apts is not that far wide of the mark. there is an iron and board provided plus a hairdryer in the apt which saves the hassle of luggin these along.

did not stay at lux mar was transferred on arrival at lux mar to jabeque, which seems to happen a lot, i think you should try and find the reason why as when one books a certain place thats where they want to go.

I stayed half board from the 7-14th April. Upon arrival I was greeted by friendly staff who allowed me to check in earlier than arranged. As a solo traveller i'm used to broom cupboards, but my room at the Lux Mar was spacious with 2 beds, a sofa, kitchenette, table & chairs, bathroom and a balcony with a sea view... Perfect! The room and bathroom were spotless and the shower was surprisingly powerful! The only downside was the food, not much choice (choice of meat, fish or pasta each night) and being vegetarian I ended up with just salad most nights (the pasta had meat in it) but the concept of vegetarianism hasn't really caught on much in Spain! The staff were really friendly and informative and provided me with a map of local points of interest and bus timetables etc. All in all a great base to explore Ibiza Town.

nice clean hotel only coplaint is the food was cold loads of choice at breackfast but not much choice at evening meal but everything was cold

Great hotel, clean and pleasant. Maid service every day and clean towells every day too. Hotel staff very pleasant especially at reception. my fifth time here so that says it all...yes! can certainly recommend the Lux Mar for value for money short break.

My boyfriend and I stayed here in July in the Tropical Garden appartments. The appartment was always clean, with fresh towels given everyday. Kitchen came with a microwave, fridge, stove and toaster. Hotel was situated near shops and bars and a 5 minute walk away from Ibiza town. A 15 minute walk took you to a bus stop that cost £2 to get you to most of the main clubs and to San Antonio. A taxi journey home cost around 15 euros. The best thing about the hotel is that there were no British idiots causing a nuisance and emabarassing our nation-it was full of Spanish, French, Dutch etc who know how to handle their alcohol! It made for a very pleasant stay! Will defiitely come back next time we return to Ibiza! An extra special mention to 2 of the reception staff who tended to do the later shift! Very friendly and helpful with lots of information about the island!
