Lordos Beach Hotel - Larnaca

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel in the last 3 years. It has been redecorated and refurbished recently. There is a considerable choice for breakfast, several swimming pools, gym, and poolside bar and the beach is a stone's throw away with beach activities. The majority of staff speak English and are very pleasant. The rooms are cleaned daily and are all air conditioned (which is a must if you stay in July/August) and you are given a plate of fresh fruit & wine on arrival in the room. The location is a 15 minute drive from Larnaca town center and there quite a few restaurants, shops & taxi stand within walking distance. The only criticism I have is the family rooms in my opinion are double rooms with bunk beds (for the kids) squeezed in, which makes it feel crapped. They also for a fee let outside guests use the pool/gym facilities so sunbeds can be a struggle to get, although they do have poolside staff eager to help with sunbeds and parasols. All in all an enjoyable stay.

Review of 'LORDOS BEACH'

My wife and I first stayed at the Lordos Beach Hotel, Larnaca, Cyprus in May this year. We enjoyed our stay so much that we returned to the same Hotel again in September.
Lordos Beach is located right on the sea front in Larnaca Bay and is about 15 minutes by car from the town centre. For those without transport there is a bus service into the town with a bus stop at the hotel entrance.
The hotel is well equiped with several swimming pools (including an indoor pool), gym, tennis court, volleyball together with a dining room, cafeteria and comfortable bar and reception areas.
Snacks and drinks are available throughout the day and evening entertainment is provided on most days.
The rooms are cleaned daily and are in excellent condition with air-conditioning for those that require it.
Pool areas, gardens and public areas are immaculately kept with plenty of available staff on hand to make sure guests enjoy their stay. Nothing seems too much trouble for the management and public relations are excellent with staff able to communicate in excellent English, German and other languages.
Nothing in this world is absolutely perfect and if we had any critism it would be that we felt that the air conditioning in the public areas was a little too cool. Drinks in the minibar were also expensive but this seems to be the case at most hotels.
Apart from these minor critisms, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lordos Beach Hotel and would have no hesitation in staying at this hotel in the future.

SECOND TIME AT LORDOS BEACH STAYED LAST OCT 2005 THIS TIME MAY 2006 NO COMPLAINTS WELL RUN HOTEL NOTICED A FEW IMPROVEMENTS THIS TIME ALWAYS AGOOD SIGN OF A WELL RUN HOTEL IN OUR OPINION GOOD CHOICES BREAKFAST CLEAN ROOMS LINEN CHANGED FREQUENTLY POOL AREAS GOOD BEACH OK CONTACTED HOTEL VIA EMAIL TO REQUEST A PARTICULAR ROOM REQUEST GRANTED WITH WINE AND FRUIT IN ROOM ON ARRIVAL  VERY PROFFESIONALLY RUN HOTEL MANY BUSINESSPEOPLE STAY THERE NO HESITATION TO RECCOMEND
