This hotel is ideally placed for touring the Highlands, situated within easy reach of the royal residence, Balmoral, and Crathie church. Ideal location for winter skiing - the Lecht, Aviemore and Glenshee all within an hour's driving distance.
The owners of the hotel are an extremely pleasant and helpful couple, who were happy to advise on activities etc in the area.
The hotel staff were all efficient and friendly, and the meals (whether served in the restaurant or the lounge bar) were all superb.
Our room was comfortable,if slightly small for the four poster bed, and was peacefully situated.
As it was cold when we visited, evenings spent beside the cosy open fire in the lounge were especially welcomed.
I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a holiday in this part of Scotland, whether it be summer or winter.
