This hotel is rated 2 stars by the Hotel Tourisme board and is 2 stars because of a few things.. 1. The lobby looks a bit side street and if it weren't for the fake box bushes and the hotel sign by the doors you'd walk right pass! 2. You can't check in til 3pm either but there is a room for luggage to be left. 3. Also because you can't get an iron board in your room and 4. you have a choice of 4 pay per view movies (only on certain days and then only two are available in English).
All in all this hotel is extremely clean and well tended. The rooms are turned down nicely and very neatly and cleaned to a good standard and the beds are comfortable and of a good quality, you also get a LCD TV in your room though only with one English channel (BBC World). The staff are quiet but friendly and helpful despite a destinct lack of information in the lobby for English tourists... I must be the only person asking why? The location couldn't be better as it is situated right in front of the station and is part of the main shopping complex and right by Gare Lille Flandres. The breakfast in the morning consists of self serve usuals, ie, croaissants, Pain au chocolat, coffee's and tea's as well as orange juice and then ham, eggs, conserves and also cereals and bio yoghurts etc, etc. As hotels go I would say that this is a very impressive budget option and the plusses out weigh the little things marking this hotel as 2 star.
