Lovely Apartments

16 March 2010
Wow!, Just got back from the Las Colinas Apartments. I was a bit wary due to some of the reviews on Trip Advisor but I was pleasantly surprised. The One Bedroom Apartments are really Spacious, Comfortable and clean. The apartments are so big a family of four wouldn't feel too crowded at all. Facilities are good with the sister hotel Lanzarote Palace next door where you can use the pool, bar and other facilities like the internet if needed. Only downside is the TV - 1 Euro for an hour but the TV selection is poor. So do yourself a favour - take a book, or a mini dvd player if you want in room entertainment. Costa Teguise is so relaxing and such a lovely resort, meals are generally five euro's each and wine in the Hiper Dino Market is cheap! Best white wine at 2 euros 21 cents is La Lira - lovely dry white wine! Try it. Best Supermarket in Costa Teguise is the Euro Spar - a lot cheaper than Hiper Dino. Car Hire is a must to see the Island, I recommend Playa Blanca, Fire Mountain, El Golfo and the Caves - Great Tour guide! The Nudist Beach is an Eye opener as well but be warned the Road to get to it is well a "lava" road and is about 3km and well basically quite challenging! Would I go back Lanzarote - you bet! Would I go back to these Apartments? It's a no brainer for the price you pay these apartments are fantastic! Oh and the Weather in March - upper 70's!

Great Place to Stay

25 January 2010
Great apartments, lovely setting, spotless apartments and friendly staff. Very tranquil and peaceful. Would certainly stay again. Found a complete "gem" of a restaurant just five minutes away - turn right out of Las Colinas walk down the road and turn left at the street with the phone box at the end. Two minutes along the street and you will find tucked away a beautiful little palce called "Delicious" which is, well, simply, DELICIOUS. A selction of beautiful tapas and fine wine - A MUST

Beyond expectations

26 November 2009
Only paid £77 each for a week in November and surprised to find a huge clean appartment with views to sea and volcanoes-watched sunrise from patio behind and sunset from our balcony. Plenty of sunbeds on different levels of the complex and enjoyed uninterrupted sunbathing as there were only a few other visitors at this time. Kitchen had no cooker, only two electric rings and microwave so don't expect to do anything but reheating or frying! (Take a peeler too if you need it) Apart from the rather expensive minimart on site the shops are a good 20 minute walk away so food shopping will keep you fit. Water is 99c for 5 litres in the Hiper Dino supermarkets so don't get ripped off elsewhere. Buy washing-up liquid, soap, etc, asap as nothing is provided in the flat. Warning! Don't get pizzas from the Volcano bar on site-they are incredibly salty (must be the cheese) and we couldn't eat them! Towels changed twice during the week but no bedding change at all which is not too nice when you are hot. Fortunately the appartments have plenty of ventilation and stay around 72F all day. to sum up, if you are fit 50 somethings like us you'll have a great time walking everywhere but for the less mobile there lots of steps in the complex and hills to climb back up from the town and you would need a taxi back with your shopping. Good tip-try the Chinese restaurant called "Fortuna" down the road-their all-you-can-eat banquet is only 5.95 euros and is excellent including fresh battered prawns, crispy duck pancakes and fruit and ice cream for puddings!! Have fun!!

Review of 'Las Colinas'

We had the misfortune of being allocated on arrival to Los Zocos in Costa teguise. After 10 days of our 14 night holiday we decided to move out and find somewhere else. We found the apartments Las Colinas and were highly delighted. Los Zocos was supposed to be 3 star but if that's the case then Las Colinas is more like 5 star, but definitely we would rate them as 4 star, even the studios are very spacious. Very peaceful, would highly reccommend.

We stayed at the las colinas from 29th dec- 5th jan 2006.The location is slightly out of town but there is a free bus at 10am and 12pm to costa teguise. The staff are superb, very helpful and friendly. we arrived at 9 30am and they got a room ready in minutes for us.Very clean and well equiped apartments with a fair sized pool and sun terrace areas. Although we had a studio it was more than big enough. You share the bar, reception and shop with the paradise apartments and although the bar is small and could benefit from re-decoration its ok for a quick tipple. Not much for kids, a small football pitch and a tiny playground is all. To sum up, a good clean and spacious base for a holiday in Costa Teguise. Taxis are good 2 - 3 euros form costa centre.
