Good value hotel, but building work ongoing through 2008

Room 104 is a suite consisting of large living area with sofa, tv, and fridge, and a separate adequately sized twin bedroom, and bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Patio doors from both lounge and bedroom onto a balcony (which in 2008 overlooks a building site). Electronic door locks. The biggest concern is security – each morning I left the (first floor) balcony doors locked only to find the cleaners left them unlocked.
Breakfast 07:30 to 10:00 and dinner 19:00 to 21:30 both offer good choice. Bar service in the restaurant is better than average. Small tv with Sky News but the replacement remote didn’t work correctly. Available through Alpharooms in the UK.

Good Location, close to nice beach and excellent pool area.
Hotel Rooms are large, clean and well maintained, however, could be improved with the addition of tea/coffee making facilities! Balcony offers great views. Significant building works are being carried out close to the hotel but with surprisingly little noise. Food is OK (not 4*) providing a good range of breakfast choices. However, the evening meals are a little lacking to say the least. Loads of good restaurants closeby if required. Overall this is a good hotel to use as a base to tour the island or provides a comfortable pool based holiday. Entertainment is 'basic' and could be improved. ie provide music to dance to etc... if you prefer Bingo then it's covered! We had a great 8 day break in November 07 and would rebook this hotel.

We booked this hotel for one night to watch the England Rugby match in Los Gigantes! We were a group of three adults and one six year old. We expected a single room with sofa bed but we actually received a fantastic two bedroomed suite! The price was brilliant, the service great and the hotel is really lovely. It was about 5 euros in a taxi to Los Gigantes and the actual situation of the hotel was lovely. Very close to everything and to the beach. The breakfast was lovely but we missed dinner! The only vague problem we could see is that there is a lot of building work going on around the hotel (October 2007). We were only here for one Saturday night, so I don't know how much noise there would be during the week. I would not hesitate booking again however. The staff were very friendly and there was quite a bizarre cabaret thing going on Saturday night! We lost the rugby, so too sad to join in!

The family room we had was very spacious with good views of pool and sea. Rooms were cleaned daily and the hotel was very clean throughout. Food was disappointing for a 4* hotel but the waiter service was adequate. The pool is very deep and only suitable for confident swimmers, the hotel do not stand by their own rules of not allowing individuals to reserve sunbeds by laying down their towels, then not use the sunbed until hours after, numerous guests were complaining about this. We were at the hotel at the beginning of June so it was not very busy and the entertainment was pretty poor in a repetative way. Position. There are a sufficient number of bars, restaurants and shops in the quiet Puerto de Santiago, however a 15 - 20 minute walk away is Los Gigantes which is a must to visit with numerous nice restaurants and a lovely harbour. The weather was fantastic all week and the ride from the airport takes about 35 - 40 mins you should be charged around 40 to 45 Euros. If food is not a priority and you would prefer to eat out during your hols then I would recommend this hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We usually stay at Las Rosas nearer to Los Gigantes but we thought that we would give a half board hotel a go this time and because our first choice the Barcelo Santiago was being refurbished we decided on Lagos de Cesar. This hotel was spotless, the staff were very helpful and even though there was some building work going on outside of the hotel this didn't effect us. Food was nice if a little greasy sometimes. Good value for money and we up-graded when we arrived to a pool front view which only cost the equivalent of about £25 for the week.A nice relaxing holiday.

Stayed for one week at the hotel and was very pleased with our choice- very friendly and helpful staff, air conditoned large rooms which were cleaned daily. We stayed on a half board basis and ate in the hotel every night although didn't make many breakfasts! Although in a quiet location and having more mature guests it is an ideal hotel to come back to after a lively night out in Las Americas!! Great value for money!

The hotel Lagos De Cesar is situated in Santiago not Los Gigantes. The rooms were spacious, clean and air-conditioned.Towels were renewed everyday but toiletries were issued on day of arrival only. The staff were very friendly and helpful.Meals were adequate, good quality but repetitive.Bus stops for Los Gigantes,Las Americas and Puerto Cruz are situated closeby.Overall the hotel was more 3* It caters more for french spanish and portuguese holidaymakers. It does not provide a courtesy room and lacks entertainment, however it was excellent value for money.This hotel is more suitable for elderly clients because of its quiet peaceful location.
