Tenerife holiday May/June 08

12 June 2008
This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel. Excellent accommodation and food. Very clean, except for pool toilets, which were well below standard. I have stayed in other hotels where the toilets were checked and cleaned every hour, but this did not appear to happen at Siesta. Nevertheless, a great holiday and would recommend.

No room at the inn!

07 May 2008
Family with children aged 7, 9 and 1 plus 3 grandparents. Booked 3 rooms but on arrival told no rooms available and sent in taxis to Vulcano Hotel for night which was ok for over 50's only! THIS IS COMMON PRACTICE AT THIS HOTEL SO BE WARNED! Reception staff do their best offering compensation such as spa, full board etc. We asked for superior rooms which seemed to be the same as standard but worth it for pool view. They also have slippers, bathrobe, different toiletries and fruit, none of which we used but view of road and shopping centre did not appeal! When finally able to unpack and start holiday, it was lovely. The hotel is clean, the rooms very pleasant and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was better than we expected with plenty of choice and lots of fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables plus a good salad bar. Avoid BBQ night though as the ONLY good thing was eating outside! Also not very good at making cocktails. The entertainment was as expected and all enjoyed after a couple of sangria's! Hotel is very central in a vast resort and we found everything to the left of the hotel more upmarket than to the right! There were a couple of nice beaches a short walk away and some exclusive shops. They don't seem to have a courtesy room here so as we had a late flight we all had to shower at gym as they would not let us pay to keep our room. We had a bad start but ended up having a lovely time and would consider staying again if double booking issue resolved!.

Fantastic Honeymoon

23 April 2008
Well what can I say from the minute we arrived at the very beautiful La Siesta we knew we were going to have a fantastic time. The Hotel was outstanding, and the staff couldn't have done enough for us. Our room was top class, the pool area was excellent, food was good as we stayed half board lots of variety, and the natural spa which were used free of charge for an hour every day was out of this world. The day we arrived they had very kindly left us a lovely bottle of champer's to congratulated us on our honeymoon which I thought was very kind. I will def go back to La Siesta and we will be using Alpha rooms again. Thanks for our stress free holiday!

just come back from the la siesta hotel.whem we arrived we where put in another hotel because the room was double booked.the hotel gala only 1 mile away they paid for us taxis to get there and back which was fine.the gala was a nice hotel but lots of germans.we got to la seista a day late .the hotel rooms where brill.the staff where spot on and food very good.the indoor spa was a little dirty for a 4 star but ok.you need to book a day before to use the indoor pool and spa which we found strange.over hall it was ok just needed a clean around indoor pool .we would defo go back again alpha rooms are always spot on thanks.. the cat .

La Siesta

Excellent hotel close enough to the nightlife, beaches and shops. More of a family resort and has excellent facilities. The pool is fantastic along with the amazing salad bar. Good Service. Would not go to Tenerife again but would recommend the hotel if you are going.

My husband and I stayed at the La Siesta for 5 nights in March 2007. From the moment we checked in and were greeted by a very friendly girl at reception we knew it was excellent. The hotel is spotless clean the food excellent staff helpful and friendly and the entertainment very good. The area was great and so close to the beach which is a must for hubby but for pool lovers you would be happy out. We were sorry to leave  but will definitly return before the year ends. We have already recommended this hotel to several friends.

We were very dissapointed with this hotel. The reception staff were very slow and not very helpful. The food was of poor quality, and they had the same dishes everyday. Very boring. The superior room was not bad, but was not dusted before we went in and while we were there. The pool was nice, but we had trouble getting a sun bed.

Review of 'LA SIESTA'

This was our second time at La Siesta the previous time being 4 years ago and before the refurbishment, we had enjoyed ourselves very much the first time and this time was no exception. Food was very good and you would have to be a fastidious eater not to find something from the array of food on offer not to be satisfied. Staff all very helpful and very friendly. Entertainment was very good with different acts on every night and again all staff friendly.
Room was of a high order, spacious and clean with satelight TV. The balcony was on the small side with table and chairs but this is the style of the all rooms and not really a disadvantage. Pools and gardens again very good, clean and of a high order with ample sun beds.
The position of the hotel is ideal for shopping and beaches if prefered. All in all we were not disappointed and would recommend to all couples and families with kids (as there is lots to keep them occupied)and we will definitely be returning in the future.
