Review of 'ATLANTIC CLUB'

09 March 2006
We arrived at Malaga Airport in torrential rain, picked up our hire car and arrived at the Atlantic Club around 6pm. Very easy to find, just get off at the first Las Chapas turnoff and follow the signs.
We stayed in self catering accommodation (if half board, you don't get a kitchen.). Downstairs there was a kitchen (2 burner hob, oven with grill, microwave, washer, sink and a hob top kettle), a lounge with dining area, a 'phone, a downstairs WC and basin (very small, had to be reversed into!), a back yard (suntrap) with tiled seating and a very nice patio with a table and chair set at the front.
Upstairs there was a bathroom with shower over the bath and a double bedroom with single beds and masses of wardrobe space, from the bedroom there was a very large sun terrace (no recliners). You get a TV downstairs and air con/heating in the bedroom. the remote controls for these are picked up from reception, also you have to pay a deposit of 100 euros (they take an imprint of your credit card and hand it over when you check out).
There are 2 swimming pools, an indoor pool, a bar, cafeteria and restaurant on site, plus a children's playground, Nearby there is a very flash looking Crazy Golf Course and an Opencore Supermarket.
Be advised though, you only receive a tea towel, so take your own J-cloth and remember to buy some washing up liquid.
All in all, we enjoyed it and would go again.

Review of 'ATLANTIC CLUB'

Not the 4 star luxury we were expecting but did the job for the price we paid!  However, had we paid full whack we would have been disappointed with the dated decor, mouldy & damp bathroom, the motorway noise and the one broken sunbed on the terrace.

The pool was nice if you like Latino Beatle covers while you are relaxing.  I imagine it is a good place if you have young children as there seemed to be lots for them to do.

Good commuting distance from Marbella, but a car is needed.  Appartment was spacious and self catering facilities were acceptable.

Review of 'ATLANTIC CLUB'

My parent booked the hotel, and later on I checked on the internet for the reviews. I found only 3, and they were not very good, but I thought that as there were not really a lot, people just only complain when they have some troubles.
I have to say that:-the beach is a little bit far from the hotel.
-I was only able to watch properly the BCC and a German channel properly, the rest, nogo, and the reception didn't do anything.
-mattress of the sofa bed was not long enough, and I am only 1.60 meters tall.
-the cleaining stuff were doing a lazy job, sometimes they were changing the towels, sometime not, and they were coming when we were having lunch, or when we were sleeping the siesta, instead of doing this during the morning.
-the place looks safe
-it is true that at the end of the afternoon the swimming pool didn't have sun, because of the shadow of the trees
-the rest it was fine.
