Review of 'La Quinta Park Suites'
03 September 2006
Excellent buffet food which our normally fussy children loved. There was a large variety of dishes including meat or fish cooked directly at the counter.
Our apartment was a good size, and cleaned well. We were provided with a further fold out bed when we asked for one, which worked much better than having two children share the double sofa bed.
The swimming pool was great, it was at two levels and the children enjoyed sliding from one to the other. There were always plenty of sun loungers (our stay was during the Easter holidays and there was not always plenty of sun).
There were great views of both the mountain and the ocean.
We had hired a car and found travelling to and from the hotel very easy. It is very convenient for the main road and for exploring the north and centre of the island. Parking was on the street but we never had difficulty in finding a parking spot close on the road outside.
We played squash a couple of times and would advise you take your own rackets: we used the hotels somewhat mis-shappen ones. To use the indoor swimming pool you have to pay extra, and the hours children are allowed to use the indoor pool were very limited: when we were there it was just one hour a day in the evening, so we did not use the indoor pool.
The staff were always friendly and polite, and the evening entertainment fun. The children enjoyed the magicians show. We were also surprised to enjoy the gala dinner. The tables were organised by nationality, and the entertainment was traditional Tenerife and Spanish dancing.
Whilst we were there, there were very few English guests, the majority were Spanish and German.
