Very pleasant quiet hotel
19 April 2008
The hotel was a quiet and relaxing place to be away from the hustle and bustle. Though it is not by any stretch of the imagination a 5-star hotel as I would expect one to be, we paid about £350 for a five night stay during school spring holidays.
The room was fine, clean and everything worked OK, the grounds were very pretty, the swimming pool was great, clean and well staffed, the bar had good cocktails and comfy seating. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was OK, the coffee was dreadful, but that was really the only down-side of a lovely stay.
Beware of the taxis outside who try to overcharge shamelessly 10 or 20 times the correct rate.
We were lucky enough to meet a very helpful taxi driver who was apparently "the only taxi driver in all of Marrakech with one leg"! He was called Mohammed.
