Lovely Hotel
16 July 2008
Stayed in Hotel for 4 nights, great location, unfortunately building work going on at the moment, woken early a couple of mornings. Lobby very cramped. Staff very pleasant. Rooms were fine. Breakfast very good lots to choose from and a cooked breakfast for an extra £2.50 was very cheap and well worth it. Would recommend this hotel for its location right beside Earls Court Tube and lots of bars and restaurants nearby.

I have just returned from staying in London at the Kensington Court hotel with two friends. We had a family room which was very clean and comfortable, the bathroom was also very clean. Our room wasn't dated or in a state of disrepair but it was very hot as the radiator was on all night. But there was a fan in the room which we used in the morning. I understand that the heating was probably kept on as some guests would require it to be warm so I was not really put out about it. The hotel was closely located to the underground station and there were cafes, shops and pubs nearby. The continental breakfast was very good with quite a big choice. The service was excellent, we were particularly pleased that we could leave our luggage all day in a safe room on Sunday even though we had checked out at 10am. On the whole we had a good experience at this hotel.

Review of 'KENSINGTON COURT'
09 November 2006
The Kensington Court Hotel was fantastic. It had a real retro feel to it. Located on Earl's Court, we were close to Hyde Park and Kensington High Street. The tube stop is literally seconds away. Our room was cozy and clean, far from appalling like other guests have written. In fact, we liked it so much we decided to stay a bit longer! The manager was especially kind to us when we had questions about extending our stay. I urge you, stay at the Kensington Court! You won't regret it!

Beware of this review
07 July 2005
Beware of the Kensington Court Hotel. They have TWO types of rooms: the refurbished ones - and the others, which are far beyond an acceptable standard. We spent two nights in room no 7 and finally, after repeated complaints (bathroom 3rd grade motel quality, mouldy smell, TV not working, safe not accessible, etc., etc.) were put in a refurbished room for one night. It was like Heather Baxter in a previous review wrote: apalling. But what really upset us was that the manager, who was unavailable to her guests from Friday afternoon until Monday late morning, agreed to a partial refund (she was contacted by the travel agency repeatedly) which she would never grant later on. First, upon checkout early Monday morning, the hotel made us pay the full charge by telling us that this was due to organisational reasons. When contacted by phone - no refund had appeared on my credit card statement - the manager refused any refund, then promised to reconsider her position during the rest of the day and in addition promised to send an email proposing a solution in writing. Guess what: she was never heard of again. Even after having received an email from me reminding her of her promises, she would not respond. What still sounds in my ear is her statement that our tariff would not grant us the right for a refurbished room. Plus, having let us spend one night in a refurbished room would have been sufficient compensation. Well, the rate would have been adequate for a refurbished room, but was not exactly a bargain for the shabby room they put us in.

Its a good location, and OK breakfast, but fairly basic. Good for Earls Court.

Review of 'KENSINGTON COURT'
10 March 2005
We stayed at this hotel for one night in March 05, as we were in London to watch Chelsea v Barcelona. Only this fact stopped me from walking out the door after viewing our bedroom. This hotel was probably last decorated at least 20 years ago. It was grubby and dilapidated. The taps in the bathroom were rusted, the handle to the cistern was hanging off, the furniture was cracked and chipped, it was appalling. Only if you have literally nowhere else to go, should you stay at this hotel.
