We stayed at the Kazimierz five nights in Feb 2008 , staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was good size with nice en-suite , very warm with nice shower, top sheets not large enough but bed was very comfortable. Room cleaned every day with sweets left on pillow ! . Easy to get into centre of town walking or public transport , would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Krackow.

Kazimierz in October
01 November 2007
We stayed at the Kazimierz for four nights in October 2007, it was a friendly hotel and we had a large room with 3 beds, aircon and en suite shower toilet & washbasin which was kept spotlessly clean with a very good supply of clean towels and toiletries. The window was high and no view but had electric opening as it was still quite warm at night. We turned the radiator off in the bedroom. The duvet was OK but the bottom sheet did not tuck in so you woke up sleeping on the mattress in parts and the pillowcase was of a coarse linen mixture. Breakfast was extremely good for a European hotel with a varied selection of fruit juices, cereals, cold meat, fish and vegetables, breads and rolls. A toaster was provided and the hot food was usually eggs, scrambled or hard boiled and different sausages. We saw no sign of any other meal facilities except for a separate entrance for parties/weddings on the ground floor. We arrived late with Ryanair and were sent to a restaurant 10 mins away which served us all (9) at 11.30pm and after a very good meal reception was still on duty at 1.30am in the morning. Easy to get into the town by walking 10mins or public transport for most of the city (trams & buses) 2 mins.Small shops, market and cafes all within 4 mins. Would stay there again. Tours can be booked in the UK for pickup at the hotel at better prices than locally. The Salt mines are interesting but be aware that you have to go down about 800 steps, 370 alone just to get to the first level, spaghetti legs were commonplace!

Hotel Kazimierz
08 October 2007
Good quality hotel, with clean rooms in a quiet area. The breakfast buffet was varied and good but with only limited cooked food, usually sausage and egg. Many restaurants and bars close by and a 10 minute walk to the city centre square. The reception staff spoke good english and were helpful, but not as friendly as we would have expected.
We were initially given an attic type room on the top floor that had a low sloping ceiling and small windows, but we asked for an alternative and were then moved to a nicer new room at the rear of the hotel. Our only complaint was that the sheets and duvet barely covered the bed and were made of poor quality, coarse material.

Kazimierz in summer
27 July 2007
perfectly nice hotel. rooms clean, especially bathroom which was spotless and cleaned thoroughly every day. only downside was our room had only a high window, which we couldn't see out of! staff very friendly and breakfast ok. 10 mins from castle, 20 mins from market square, but nice walk and meant we saw more.

Hotel kazimierz
21 July 2007
we stayed at this hotel for four nights mid july 2007 and although the surrounding area looked a bit bleak the hotel was absolutely well worth the money paid. bedrooms were large , clean and fortunately as the weather was extremely hot air conditioned . buffet breakfast was good , staff very helpful and should we ever go back to this wonderful city then we would have no hesitation in using this hotel

value for money
06 June 2007
Do not be put off by the surroundings the hotel was modern, clean and very good value. You cannot getl lost in Krakow and everything was in walking distance although there was plenty of local transport. Food and drink cheap and very good. Would certainly go back.

Review of 'Kazimierz'
11 March 2007
We booked a 5 night stay bed and breakfast, the room was basic but spotless we had a maid clean the room every day and had everything we needed for a base. The breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice and the times were excellent if you had a late night you didn't need to get up early breakfast is served 7-11am.The hotel was very clean and the staff spoke excellent english and were very helpful and offered lots of advice about how too get around and the easiest means of getting somewhere. The kazimierz is ideally located in the jewish quater you have all the history and the fantastic buildings in this area all within a few minutes walk. At the top of the road you have the main street into the main square passing Wawel castle on route all 10-15 minutes walk away, or you can catch the tram into the square for approx 45p per person. There are plenty of lovely resteraunts and bars on the doorstep or again lots too choose from around the main square. The hotel was in a quiet location but we could not have asked for a better hotel the holiday was very different and even after 6 days there we still did not see everything and will definitley be going back next summer 2008 and we would not stay in any other hotel in Krakow only the Kazimierz. Thank you to Alpha rooms for giving us the opportunity too stay at lovely hotel.

We very much enjoyed the Kazimierz, the double was a good size, the staff are friendly, helpful and speak good english. also the breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety, buffet style. Its only about 10 mins walking time from the Wawel castle, but nice and quiet. would definitely stay again, and recomend this place.

Review of 'Kazimierz'
08 November 2006
We booked a 4 night bed and breakfast stay in the Ester Hotel for November 2006. All our pre conceptions soon flew out of the window, Krakow is not poor Poland where everyone works for poor wages. The hotel was warm, friendly, well run and spotlessly clean. The food served in the restaurant was plentiful, very varied and of good quality. We had live entertainment on two seperate evenings, tuneful amd lively! The hotel was ideally located to explore the Kazimierz area, we loved the diverse culture, buildings and market. Each bar or restaurant was welcoming and such very good value for money. Just 10 minutes walk away was the tram to the main city: the snow was obliterating the whole world by then, so we continued the walk to the main square. How lovely the city is, full of antique shops, bakeries, wonderful coffee shops, and superbly restored churches. Yes it snowed every day, and no umberellas in sight!! Our trip to the concentration camps was very moving, emotional and unforgettable. The hotel arranged this was us, and a mini bus collected and delivered us. All in all a very different holiday, but we will rerurn very soon.
