Hotel staff very friendly and welcoming, rooms cleaned well and spacious enough though found the bathroom a bit small. The walk to the old town took about 25 mins though cabs were only 5 Lats (approx £4.80 GBP). Got cheaper room rates than the old town hotels and enjoyed the stay very much, if you want a quiet location to base your sightseeing then would recommend.

A nice hotel in the midrange sector. Outside the building looks a bit boring, but the rooms are very nice and clean, except for the bathroom, it's very small. Breakfast is OK. The staff is friendly.The hotel is 2 km outside the old city of Riga (northside). Taxis are cheap but much better you can take the public traffic. It's a 5 minutes walk to the tram and about 10-12 minutes ride to the centre, for only 0,29 Eurocents. It's a beautiful old city with great architecture. There are a lot of good restaurants and bars, very friendly priced. The athmosphere is very relaxed and we enjoyed our stay very much. From the airport it is about 30 minutes by taxi to the citycentre.
