Fast check in, pleasant staff. Stayed in a triple room which was basic but clean. Nice breakfast. Only problem was when I had a shower water was only luke warm. If looking for a reasonable priced hotel with good access to all the tourist attractions then this is ideal.

Room basic but clean (but thin walls like most hotels, everything working (inc hot water / shower). Staff helpful & pleasant. Breakfast fine.

Good for short business trips

As a lone female travelling on business, this hotel was brightly lit and welcoming (very inportant). Reception very good and even booked my table for dinner. Room was clean, good facilities (good power shower) and asks you to put paper and glass bottles to the side of the bin for recycling - very good. Dinner was excellent and waiters pleasant (not being made to feel like a leper for dining alone was a nice change). Dinner was £35 for 3 courses and 2 glasses of wine. Only downsides - corridors and doors painted awful shade of green, ice machine was broken and breakfast was dismal - cold toast, no black breakfast tea (just Assam and Earl gray) and packed. I had to sit on a trendy high breakfast bar stool thing - not good when you're 5'3" in a business skirt! Overall, I'd stay again for business (it's about £5 in cab from Euston, or a 25 min walk) and also for one or two nights as a tourist. I wouldn't use it for a special city break though - bit too basic.

match trip

I stayed at the hotel on a sat night having seen the arsenal at the Emirates stadium with my 7 year old son. the check in was fast and accurate and not a problem. i got a 1st floor room as requested and during the entire stay the staff were always helpful, whether asking for directions or advice on the area they were always patient and courtious, full marks there. the let down was the room- clean without a doubt, but lacked an iron, kettle to make a cuppa, a view, a safe, a decent telly, a chair of any sort or most of all clean towels. they had been washed dozens of times and looked and felt terrible. replacements were requested and supplied but were no better. we just made do. a small gripe but an important one. Its a good hotel for an overnight stay but don't expect this to be a hotel to spend a romantic weekend in london. it is what it says on the tin.. an inn. the final adage... paying for b and b here means that you get continental breakfast and a fry is extra. when was london continental??
