Helpful, friendly staff and great location (near the station and our room had a good view across the city). Breakfast was excellent and they also serve it to 11:00 on weekends, so good for a lie-in!

Just back from 2 nights in Jury's Edinburgh. Great value for money, spacious, clean room. Doggy shower - but quickly shifted to top floor, corner room with a city and sea view - staff couldn't be more helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Jurys Inn - Fantastic

07 April 2008
Had a fantastic stay in Jurys Inns. The staff are very friendly, rooms are spaceous, clean and very cosy. Had the best breakfast ever, very nice and will definitely be returning back to this hotel. Excellent location, 5 mins walk from waverley station, with all the city centre attractions close by. Looking forward to returning again in May.

valentines break

18 February 2008
Just back from a four night stay at Jurys Inn. On arrival we were very unfortunate to be welcomed by the most rude receptionist ever.. I think she hates her job with a passion !! However we got over that and we really enjoyed our stay.. It is in an ideal location and the rooms are clean, breakfast is good and this hotel is ideal for a break in this lovely city.. Would stay here again.

Deadly (in the Dublin sense!) Hotel

31 January 2008
I stayed in Jurys Edinburgh last week. I live in East Lothian but I'm from Dublin and I had some friends visiting who wanted to stay central so I decided to stay with them for handiness. From the minute we stepped inside, the service was superb. The receptionist couldn't have been nicer, even offering for us to try the front facing room (as it had a better view) but if it was too noisy, we could move to the back of the hotel!! That was a very welcome first. The room itself was plenty big with a double and single bed, bathroom with fab power shower, telly and all the usual coffee/tea etc. It was spotlessly clean and when we requested more towels we had them within 5 mintues, with a smile! We had breakfast included in our price and it was absolutely scrumptious and plentiful. Enough of a choice for all tastes, I thought. Juices, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, bread, cheese and all the usual hot stuff - delicious. We spent some time in the bar both eating and drinking and found it to be perfectly pleasant. The location of the hotel, literally a hop and a skip from Waverley and The Royal Mile, makes it a must for any down to earth value for money traveller. I would most definitely stay there again and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone else.

19 March 2007
we have just come back from the jurys inn it is a very handy  hotel to access all of edinburgh just a short walk over north bridge and your on princes street. The hotel is very basic but  clean and comfertable and has everything you need for a relaxing time.A good breakfast was serve with everything on the menu you could think off. The bar is very freindly and has entertainment on every sat night may not be everyone's cup off tea but it does give it atmosphere. would stay there again. Not suitable for the infirm as the walk to the hotel is uphill also there quite alot of steps if you want to go to the royal mile the car park is also about a five minuate walk away from the hotel.

Review of 'JURYS EDINBURGH INN'

26 February 2007
We were thrilled to bits when we got off the train at Waverley station Edinburgh to find the hotel only minutes away and on level ground with the station, anyone who has visited Edinburgh will agree that this is a rare find as the city is built on about 5 levels. The hotel staff were friendly and the room was clean although one complaint would be eventhough the hotel is none smoking the room smelt of stale tobacco. The bar was very pleasant for a few drinks after a tiring day and the breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day ahead. Overall we had a lovely stay and are due to return in April or May.

Review of 'JURYS EDINBURGH INN'

22 February 2007
The rooms in jury,s were of a very good quality but a few things did annoy us about our holiday, firstly we had pre paid for our breakfast and only for that reason did we eat it on the second and third mornings, it was very poor to say the least, the sausages were overcooked every morning, pudding was soggy and the service was dreadfull. You were looked at as if you had two heads if you asked for an extra sausage or rasher. Also on our last morning we were woken at 8am by room service wanting to clean our room, check out isnt till 12 so we had planned to skip breakfast and have a sleep in, but i was so angry to be woken like that, that we couldnt get back to sleep. Would i stay there again? Maybe but only if i couldnt find somewhere else and i would not pay for the breakfast in advance.>

Thought we'd eat in the hotel restaurant first night - if anyone's thinking of doing this don't!  Cold food, cold atmosphere.  There are too many good places to eat in this wonderful city.  Position is very favourable and rooms clean and comfortable.

Not having onsite parking was a drawback and would possibly stop me using this hotel again.

We had an issue re taxis- ordered a taxi through reception which did not arrive. We did not think hotel staff were helpful in trying to resolve this, therefore we ended up getting our own taxi. (Taxi was booked for certain time as we were attending the Theatre, the delay meant we just arrived in time for the performance).

A very good hotel. we had a flight delay which meant our arrival time changed from 2pm to midnight but this was no problem for the staff. The night porters were very efficient and friendly.  The rooms were very spacious and spotlessly clean.Tea and coffee making facilities were in the room.A great location for shopping and sightseeing.

Review of 'JURYS EDINBURGH INN'

15 January 2007
We were very pleased with the hotel for the price. location could not have been better, looking over at Calton Hill (which we walked round on Sunday for superb views over the City) whilst sitting in the bar and restaurant. Rooms were large, clean and quiet with a good powerful shower, and the breakfast was excellent. The only small critisism was the guinness went off after the first pint, and waited 20 mins without success for another (young inexperienced lad serving) before resorting to lager. Car park was 10mins walk, which was not an issue for a short stay and light luggage.

Excellent stay/service overall, excellent daily breakfast (included).  Has 2 rooms, each a 3 person room with a double bed and a single bed. A bit cramped for 3 people at the advertised price - would recommend installing a dresser to store clothes, in place of the single bed, and make it a 2 person occupancy.

Due to an easy flight being anything but I arrived a day late in Edinburgh. Jurys Inn were marvellous and upgraded by room for the remaining time without request from a single to a double and hoped I would enjoy the rest of my stay. The hotel was spendid given the price range and the hotel room large and warm. The hotel was very well appointed next to Waverley station and perfect for any sightseerer. Why pay more!

This is a lovely hotel and in a good location. Very handy for Waverley Station, only down side was noise of work on the track through the night don't know if it was a one off or this happens regularly.  Only stayed one night so it wasn't a big problem although if it were to continue through your stay you would find it very annoying.  Had a lovely time though.

Review of 'JURYS EDINBURGH INN'

02 May 2006
Hotel was fine for the excellent price that we paid. Breakfast was a little disappointing and not tradionally Scottish, i.e. no haggis or tattie scones. Just one negative point if your room faces the railway station and you are a light sleeper it may be a little noisy. The steps that run between the reception and accommodation buildings at the hotel take you on to the royal mile and if you want a good meal of haggis and nips try Rabbie Burns cafe/restaurant.  Your belly will be touching the ground after you eat it, and it's really good value for money.  The hotel is just around the corner from Waverley Bridge which is where the airport bus terminates and across the road from the railway station. Hotel is in a great location for the Royal Mile and Princes Street.  You must try the Halfway house in Fleshmarket Close, excellent wee pub where you can get a wee nip or two at great prices and really friendly staff.

myself and my boyfriend are just back from jurys where we had the most delightful spring break.   We had a most enjoyable stay in jurys as it was friendly, central and very clean.  breakfast was tops but the most pleasing thing about the hotel was the view from our 6th floor room.  situated in the middle of the old and new town meant we could easily access all parts of the city.  we will definately return!

Excellent value for money.  Great location, 5 minutes walk from Waverley station.  We had booked a double room, but ended up with a triple.  Spacious and clean.  We didnt have much of a view as we looked out onto the back of the hotel, but for £65 that was no problem.  Excellent views afforded from the front rooms.  Breakfast was great, a wide choice of cold and cooked items.  All in all, highly recommended accommodation for anyone visiting Edinburgh.

Review of 'Short stay at JURYS EDINBURGH INN'

07 January 2006
Wasn't sure what to expect as never visited a hotle from this chain before. But my partner and i have just got engaged s we decided to treat ourselves to a wee weekend get-away. Didn't feel like travelling anyway so wanted to try to see Edinburgh from a different light.
The Hotel was immaculate, always tidy, and staff always passing with a smile on their faces made us feel comfortable and at home. The meals - regardless of the time of day - were always of enjoyable and no air or rushed preparation, so it always felt like a freshly prepared meal.
I was a little peeved at their being no pool but happy to go for walks and have long showers instead. Location ideal as in centre of town and next to railway if you decide to venture into Glasgow.
All in all great for a break from it all and ideally located. Highly recommended.

Location, Location, Location is the key to Jurys Edinburgh Inn.  Situated 100 yards from the Royal Mile and only a little further to Princes St you should not even think about taking the car.  Hotel room was as expected very clean, warm and everything worked.  Good breakfast, self service but no restrictions.  The hotel bar was welcome after a cold day sight seeing and shopping, of which there is plenty.  Would certainly recommend and return.
