Nice Hotel
20 August 2008
I stayed at Clifton Ford for 8 nights in August 2008. The first impression of the hotel was the ground floor which is very modern and has lots of sofas and nice bar. We got a room which was quite old but still really cute. The room had lots of mirrors but the TV was not at a right place, and it looked like it was supposed to be refurnished and fixed soon because we saw that other floors and rooms were more modern than ours, with flat TV's and brighter rooms. Make sure when you book to ask for the new rooms. The Staff is very friendly and the breakfast was very good and had everything you needed.
Restaurants, bars and coffee shops are all around and there were cute little restaurants near that were really sweet to dine out at.
The location of the hotel is super! You can see the back of Oxford street from the hotel so It's only a short walk to Oxford street and West End, less than half an hour walk to the wax museum madame Tussuad. Also the underground station is close.
There are always Taxis in front of the hotel so there is always an easy way to travel from the hotel =)
You can't forget the swimming pool and the health club, that was very elegant and good.
I would surly stay there again when I come to London again.

Friendly reception staff, lovely modern decor and a great location, no one seems to mention James Street 5 mins walk, great buzzing atmosphere, lots of restaurants and bars and also lots of traditional local bars on each corner! Breakfast was good. One problem!... our bed clearly hadn't been changed! We told reception and they were so apologetic, management checked the room and suggested moving us but we had been on the road since 7am, it was late and it meant moving everything. We were happy for them to change the bed while we had a drink in their nice trendy bar. They offered dinner and a bottle of wine as a way of apology (as we had already pre paid for the room) this wasn't obout getting something for nothing but was fair. The meal was wonderful and also the service. They apologised again when we checked out. I would definately stay there again, it was a human error which was resolved quickly.

good hotel, great location
21 March 2008
I would highly recommend this hotel. Its location is excellent - a five minute walk to oxford street and there are some really nice restaurants nearby. Our room was spotless and the beds were very comfy but it was rather small. It is worth asking for one of the new rooms. We found the hotel staff very friendly and professional and the hotel bar is very nice. The breakfast was good too. All in all if you are looking for a smart hotel in an excellent location you will not be disapointed with this Jurys.

We had a very pleasant welcome at the hotel. We were given hot towels and the staff were very pleasant. The rooms were well furnished and of an average size for London. The foyer and public rooms are very modern and pleasing to the eye. The breakfast was ok I have had better and we did not like the idea of queuing with a card in our hand .It resembled a supermarket cafe. The location was the best feature it is about 200yrds from the back of Debenhams on Oxford St. We would definatley visit the hotel again.

Not quite 4*

Excelllent leisure facilities but a dissapointing bathroom size in the rooms. The heating wasn't working when we were there so when we enquired about this they gave us a portable heater which was lop-sided and couldn't stand on its 2 legs!! Breakfast is hugely overpriced in terms of options offered and service was appalling. Waited 15 mins for tea another 15 mins for toast and another 20 mins for fresh juice!! The waiters were unhelpful and unorganised.

Very nice hotel in Central London
26 October 2007
Very nice and pleasant hotel in Central London, a few blocks from Oxford Street (all of London by bus from there, plus Bond Street undergroud station!), Hyde and Regent's Parks, Piccadilly and London West End Theaters within a 10/15 minute walk.
Rooms somewhat small by US standards, quite nice by European ones, and very nicely done. Also staff will provide a key to open windows, in case you're as claustrophobic as I am!
Pleasant breakfast room, with an appetizing continental spread.
Great Gym facilities for those who want it, the pool is huge by hotel standards, but underground and somewhat dark and dank! A disappointment for me, as I usually swim at least three times a week in a small but very nice and light pool in my home town.
Attentive and nice staff. And very pleasant bar!
Overall, a great place to stay!

Review of 'JURYS CLIFTON FORD'
27 April 2006
My traveller really like this hotel and in particular the health facilities, i.e gym and pool. I previously booked Directors and Senior staff into this hotel in my previous company as it was highly regarded by them. Its great to bring that knowledge to my new company, where I book approx 2 - 3 nights a month in London for my current Directors. I look forward to letting them all sample the Jurys Clifton Ford. I personally use the Jurys in Manchester quite often.

A lovely hotel which was unbelievably quiet for central London, the bathroom was small and difficult to utilise within otherwise I would have no hesitation in staying again.
