We arrived late and were amazed that we were greeted by the doorman and porter immediately, and once our luggage was unloaded they kindly parked the car. Being disabled Hotels are not always the easiest of places to get around. Not so with the Jolly! It is obvious that the hotel has been taken over since I last stayed in the 1980's but the elegance and calm sophistication remains. Room service is excellent and prompt even at 3am. The lounge is a wonderful area to sit by the log fire and people watch, be served coffee and just generally enjoy the ambience. Spoil yourself and ask for advice (if a novice) on choosing a glass of brandy from the largest selection I have ever seen. We enjoyed ourselves so much over the 2 nights that we asked if it was possible to stay another night and how much. I nearlly fell out of my wheelchair when we only had to pay a further £65 and this included a full English Breakfast. Definitely a hotel to stay at, and there are always deals available. We have since stayed twice more and on the second visit the concierge came up and greeted me by name and a welcome back. Thats what I call a "special touch"
