What our customers say
Travelling by train from western France, the Jardins de Paris Montparnasse was very convenient. The reception area was functional but I would have liked to have seen more tourist information. The bedroom was compact - just enough room for the two twin beds, wardrobe, table and chair. Most of the furninshings were of good quality. The bed linen was clean, the sheets and bedspreads were in good condition, but the blankets had holes in them and had 'seen better days'; the pillows were also quite flat. The curtains and floor covering were acceptable.
The bathroom had two major faults: The bath was of the short length, and although a mixer type shower head and shower curtain were provided, there was no hook for the shower on the wall. The other fault was the very modern sink did not have a functional plug, so it was not possible to use the sink apart from as a running tap - e.g., cleaning teeth or washing hands. The lighting in the bathroom was very poor. As there was no mirror in the bedroom, the mirror in the bathroom has to be used for hair drying and application of make-up.
The breakfast was very average - a continental buffet served in the basement. My daughter tried the pain au chocolat and was very disappointed. The fruit juice glasses were showing signs of wear, and there were not enough teaspoons available for tea / yoghurts.
