Jardines Del Mar

Excellent value for money. Large, clean apartments. Lovely pool and gardens. Short walk to the sea front and centre of Marbella. About a 50 min walk or 10 Euro taxi to Puerta Banus where most of the night life is. Lots of supermarkets within a few minutes walk with everything you'd need. Cafe at the apartments which sells snacks. No bar/ entertainment etc at apartments but not really a problem. I would go back!

We stayed for a week at the J del Mar. we were a party of four (two adults and two infants) The apartments were centrally located and near to the Palacio de Congresos and an el Corte Ingles which is our equivalent of BT's with prices to match. There are also a number of supermarkets close by and the nearest beach is about 5 mins walk. It is also close to the busy Puerto Banus which is a must! The apartments were well equipped clean and spacious. This is a mainly residential complex so there was absolutely no noise whatsoever at night. All public areas were clean and the pool was lovely. The gardens are well maintained and there is a pond and little bridge. Definitely will be back. A special thanks to Antonio Francisco and Pepe for their help with everything!

We had a great time at the Jardines del Mar. The hotel was very clean and tidy and our 1 bed appartment was a brilliant size in immaculate condition and very modern. It had plenty of storage and a seperate kitchen which was to an excellent standard. There was also a large range of toilettries supplied and maps for sightseeing which we thought was a nice touch. Our balcony was large with sunloungers and table and chairs and it overlooked the large pool area and gardens. Breakfast was included which had a very good selection and worth paying that bit extra for.
The hotel is in a great location, 2 minute walk to the beach front, and the same to the main road where the local bus service runs from. The bus is only 1 euro and that will take you down to Peuto Banus or in the other direction to La Canada which is a great shopping complex. The old town with Orange Square is an easy 20 minute walk down the road.
All in all a great hotel for a very good price. Perfect for couples and families as there is a childrens pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we will definately be going back to this hotel again.

We stayed there in Feb 2005 and although the apartment was dated in decor - it was lovely and warm, spacious, very clean, very comfortable and quiet.  Many of the apartments were residential.  We had a fantastic sea view as we were second line to the beach and we could see the sea glittering above the Moorish rooftops between us and the sea.  There were huge patio doors in the lounge and the bedroom through which the sun shone making the apartment very light.  The terrace was very big and we sat outside and had breakfast every day.  I couldn't speak more highly of the staff there who were so friendly and helpful.  As the previous reviewer said the gardens were fantastic - so well looked after. There were plenty of off street parking spaces in the grounds of the apartments although there may be more pressure on the space available in the summer months. The apartments were situated within easy walking distance of the beachfront life in Marbella and a little further from the beautiful old sector.  If you go to stay there, I hope you get an apartment that faces the sea - if you do, you won't be disappointed.
