Everything about this hotel was good, ok there were little things that may put certain picky people off if your name is Ebenezer Scrooge but overall it is set in a beautiful location (mainly 4* & 5* hotels) and it only took 10 minutes to get to the beach (no steps) and I would definitely return.
There are no fish and chip shops, loud bars and lager louts at all, in fact it is a very upmarket resort with respectable people from all nationalities, young and old (no young singles you get the picture). When we wanted nightlife we just hopped on a bus to the usual vibrant resorts….Americas is 20 mins away and the bus stop is on the doorstep. Food and drinks are cheap and the hotels entertainment and staff were fantastic. The hotel has it own reps and they made sure all the kids were looked after and the kids club (which is so safe and protected) is a Godsend. I was able to let my 3 year old granddaughter play in the pool all day as it is only a few inches high and heated so if you grab a sun longer by the pool you don’t need to move (except for getting your sun tan cream on!).
There is a market twice a week with the usual souvenirs we found a Mango Outlet shop about 15 mins walk away which had fantastic bargains. The resort has a McDonalds and a Burger King near the beach and the key thing is that the promenade is long and flat and there are ramps everywhere so no problems for prams and wheelchairs at all.
The food in the hotel is good and plenty for everyone yes they have cooked breakfast every day and chips at night time but I was eating healthily and the choice was amazing. No choices for guessing why we sat next to the hot desserts every night! Even the fruit juice was not watered down which is often the case in big hotels.
The only negative thing to say and I will mention it as everything else is so good is that you have to pay for the fridge in your room by the day if you need it that is for milk etc (1 Euro 50) but come on that’s nothing when you have all the other fantastic amenities on offer…..so voila even Ebenezer Scrooge would pay that on his holiday im sure!
