Isla Bonita is a good hotel

24 February 2008
After reading previous reviews on other websites. My wife an I were not going to book this hotel. We are so pleased we didn't. The hotel is very clean and at present being decorated. The staff are helpful and the duty manager is from UK. The rooms are fine, clean and come with a fridge, hob etc. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels. If you go All Inclusive you even get towels for around the pool, so you dont even have to take your own. The entertainment was every night starting at 830pm, kids disco and main show starting 10pm to 11pm. The hotel is set about 2 mins walk from beach. We would go again. Peter, Gill, Laura and Karen

Isla Bonita is a great family hotel, pleny to do for children and relaxing for the adults. The all inclusive is excellent (Very rare you have to queue for drinks), food excellent and entertainment good. The staff are helpfull and friendly. The rooms are brill!! one bed apartment room every time.
People without kids can have the luxury of roof top sunbathing with small pool.

'ISLA BONITA' Estupendo

22 April 2006
We visited the hotel for the first time in March 2006, We were a party that consisted of four adults and one child.  We enjoyed it so much we hope to return in the near future.  The hotel rooms were clean and surprising consisted of a living room as well as a bedroom.  We occupied two rooms and managed to get them adjacent to each other.  The choice of food was excellent.  More fish than you could throw a stick at!  Plenty of choice of meats and salads, together with pasta and rice dishes.  The wine was excellent and in plentiful supply, as were cocktails and beer.  If you ask for a bottle at your dining table, you can then take it up to the entertainment area or your room to enjoy at leasure.  Entertainment was surprisingly good, didn't expect such a high level.  The pools were lovely with plenty of room for everyone.  The kids ice creams were a big hit with our child and so was the entertainment.  Tip - Take a travel kettle because if you obtain a saucepan from reception for heating water it may take 1 hour to boil!  The beach was a 10 minute stroll away and the picnic provided by the hotel was totally adequate.  All in all a lovely holiday and we hope to return soon. PS, all the staff were lovely.

Review of 'ISLA BONITA'

We visited the hotel during the February half term holidays. We have two teenage children and felt that the hotel only seems to cater for very young children in the evening, therefore we went out of the hotel every evening. The food was plentiful yet very repetitive.

The maid service was excellent and pleasant, yet the bar staff were very sullen and it was hard to get a smile out of them.  The bar staff did not seem to be too keen on the all inclusive service (I think they were paying for it themselves) and they certainly did not seem to like service older children at all.

I would probably like to go back if only to see if their staff were any happier.

Nice hotel, great for young ones not so much for older kids. Food very good hotel very clean, well worth the money. Entertainment is a bit rubbish in the evening but nonetheless there is some at least. You dont have to wear a stupid wrist band, you get a credit card type room key with your pic on that you use to get free drinks etc. Two nice pools to choose from.
Location is not bad only 5 mins stroll to beach.

Review of 'ISLA BONITA'

03 October 2005
We have had a fantastic stay at the Isla Bonita (23/09/2005 to 30/09/2005). It is the 4th time we have visited the complex and have found it to be as good as the 1st time we stayed.  The rooms are comfortable, clean and more than adequate for the small amount of time you will actually spend in them. They have a fridge but no other facilities but why would you want to cook on an all inclusive! The restaurant does get busy at certain times and you may have to queue to get seated but this at the most will be 5 minutes which I think is not unreasonable. The food is fantastic (and hot)... there was a different selection daily for lunch and evening meal with salads, soups, meats, vegetables, pasta, a vegetarian selection, a childrens selection, fruits, ice creams and lots of cakes. Breakfast was a large selection also with something to more than suite everyone.  The bars have a good selection to drink.  I think you would have to be very fussy not to find something to suit you.  The pools are lovely and not too crowded. The one pool is a shaped pool with a shallow area for kids and a bar area whilst the other pool is larger with a jacuzzi, and pool bar. The evening entertainment was not really very good on the whole but it was something in the background whilst you had a drink in the evening. Ceasar, the entertainment organiser was superb.  He was great with the children and certainly kept them entertained in the early evening.  I think overall the hotel it great.  It's in a good loaction, only 5 minutes to the beach and 2 minutes to the nearby shops. Fanabe is a lovely area and if you do want the night life of Las Americas you are close enough for a taxi ride but far enough away to keep clear from it if it's not your 'cup of tea'.  I think that the question of whether it's a 4 star depends pretty much on what you pay for the holiday.  We had a good deal and for the price we paid we were more thatn happy.  We will certainly go back for a 5th visit.

Review of 'ISLA BONITA'

We have been to tenerife for the last 8 years at Easter. The Isla Bonita was definately one of the better all/inclusive hotels we have stayed at that cater for those with children and adults at the same time. Rooms wre excellent spacious and clean, maid service was of the highest order, towels changed every day and towels for the pool were provided clean again every day.
Food was good well presented and of a wide variety.
A bonus was being able to book at the Barbecue restaurant and the Italian for one night each during your stay which gave you a rest from the usual main eating area. Lovely settings and good food. ( Watch that the chicken is cooked though at the Barbecue !)
Drinks were good but the lager was not the best. We still drank gallons though! Entertainment team for the kid was good but the evening shows for the rest of us was a bit naff but thankfully short!!!
All in all clean and spacious and very enjoyable we will go back!!
