3 day short break

06 June 2008
Location of the hotel is ideal for the beach & sea approx 1 minute walk away, as the hotel is small & doesnt have a pool. This is a very clean hotel with friendly & helpfull staff, booked a twin double bedroom only to find on arrival that there were 3 singles in the room to which they provided another single within the 1hr. Food was a bit of a let down as there was not much choice & sometimes it was cold with a microwave to heat it up on the plate, so i would say at this point eat out. coffee, tea, water & juice provided at breakfast. Not really a hotel for family of 4 if you wanted to stay for a week or longer as there is no entertainment whatsoever, there was a tv in the room which only had 1 channel. If you want a hotel with scenic views this is not the place for you, if its a cheap short break hotel i would recommend staying here all shops & amenities right on the doorstep.

A great seven days

09 April 2008
I was not surprised that the rooms were adequately furnished, large built in wardrobe with secure safe [small extra charge] a one draw dressing table and a two draw bedside cabinet main light switchable along with over bed lights from a common panel. beds were comfortable and made daily with spare blankets if required. Located at the edge of the old town and a two minute walk to either beach and in easy access to the nightlife the old town provides it was ideal for me, I was not worried thaht there was no sea view, in my room I was either asleep or getting ready to go out! I was on half board, breakfast provided tea or coffe, a glass of fruit juce, cerials - choice of three musili, cornflakes or rice crispies. Toast or a roll with cheese Ham or salami and fruit, biscuits cakes along with a chice of four conserves all these items were add lib making a very elaborate continental breakfast! I was out to lunch Evening meal was a typical salad bar with a choice of three or four meats cold or hot although hot vegitables were providedI prefered salad. the usual choice of three or four fruits along with yoghort and pots of vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ice cream. Wine was not provided you bought a bottle and this was labled for you to obtain from Rosa at the bar for your next meal. The tables and crockery were clean so also was the cutlery, waiting staff were most helpful and attentive. A night porter allows you to return at any hour you wish. To summerise, I did not want an English or American menu it provides Spanish style cooking - it is in Spain and for me exactly right for the price asked, I will be back in September - God willing which says it all.

disappointed

To be fair the rooms, though basic, were clean and towels changed every day. The food was the biggest problem, cereal, bread, cakes, ham and cheese every day. We never stayed in for lunch and very rarley went down to dinner after the first few attempts. Spring rolls and boiled potatoes ? mixed vegetables were soggy brussels, green beans and carrots in the same dish every day and fruit for sweet. We are used to the Rio Park and this falls far below their standards. Our room faced on to a back yard with everybody's air conditioning unit,we got a twin room when we had booked a double and the kids room '308' had big patches of damp on the wall and in the wardrobe. Apart from that it was a lovely holiday !!!!

Review of Internacional

01 October 2007
Just returned from a short 3 days break staying at the Internacional. It was in a great location just around the corner from the harbour and right in the old town. We were on the 6th floor it did not have a balcony and overlooked a wall which was the only downside. The rooms on the otherhand were very clean and had 3 beds in it. Also the staff were very friendly, and I cannot comment on the food as we didnt eat there, but from comments from other guests it was fine.

Review of 'Internacional'

26 December 2006
We have just returned from a week in Benidorm staying at the International.  We weren't expecting much from price of hotel but we were pleasantly surprised, the hotel was in a great position in the old town area, and just a minutes walk from beach, rooms were big enough for 4, cleaned everyday and clean towels everyday.  The food was miles better than we expected and there was always something to eat for us and the kids, wine and water was included with meals foc. The staff were very friendly and the other Spanish guests made you welcome and tried to have a conversation with you. We would definitley stay there again, the only minus was that the balconies were not big enough for a chair.
