Through the double doors of Apartment Il Terrazzino, onto the balcony, the view will make you glad you chose this accommodation, translated as “the little terrace”. Down to your right, Positano’s tightly packed Moorish-style houses start their dramatically steep climb from the blue bay, then ascend ever more sharply, below and opposite you, far up the valley. Above you are rugged cliffs and hillsides with clinging patches of green - a striking view. At night, an alfresco dinner aloft, with hundreds of shimmering lights as your audience. Positano is a maze of narrow streets and steep staircases leading to terraces festooned with flowers and lanes flanked by cafes and small shops. A small beach, the majolica-clad cupola of Santa Maria Assunta church and the charming unflashy atmosphere are just added bonuses. Apartment Il Terrazzino is located on the Via Marconi coast road, in itself wildly picturesque, hence Amalfi and Ravello are easily accessible for different brands of loveliness. Parking is payable locally. The apartment sleeps four people within two bedrooms and is air-conditioned, at an extra cost. It is also centrally heated throughout. It has been completely renovated and about ninety five steps lead up to the third floor. The accommodation comprises of a sitting/dining room, kitchen corner with hob, oven and fridge/freezer, one double bedded room, one twin bedded room and a shower room with WC, etc. Parking in the Neopolitan Riviera can be extremely difficult on and around the following periods: Easter, 25th April, 1st May, July, August, Christmas and New Year. If you intend travelling during these periods to accommodation without parking, a taxi service for arrival and departure is recommended. During your stay the public transport system is recommended and is cheap and efficient. Public transport is also recommended during your stay even if your property has off road parking. PLEASE NOTE: Security deposit Euro 150 payable locally. Central heating - over 80 kw the cost is Euro 0.45 per kilowatt. Agents suggests it is best not to have a car in Positano.
