I stayed at this hotel in Aug 2007 with my wife and teenage son. First impressions certainly did not disappoint and this continued for the two weeks of our stay. The rooms were spacious with magnificent views. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was fine. The food in the restaurant was simply amazing and even the poolside bar served food of a very high standard. Staff were friendly and the place was imacculate. Only drawback was that there was no internet access in the room. I have never returned to the same location for two consecutive years but thanks to my experience in 2007 I have already booked for 2008 .

Not Bad
12 May 2007
This is a reasonable 4 star hotel but certainly not a 4.5 star. It does not compare to the 4 stars in the South Pacific or S.E. Asia where service is exemplary and everything comes in the price.
The bad points....
The hotel couldn't provide an ironing board and charged for use of an iron. Charging for use of the safe deposit box in the room is also bottom shelf. No internet in the rooms was also a let down but I guess that's not everyone's necessity.
The good points...
Breakfasts in the restaurant were excellent. Rooms were spacious. Staff were generally good.

Review of 'IBEROSTAR SUITE JARDIN DEL SOL'
23 July 2006
All we can say is WOW. What a beautiful place with the nicest and most helpful staff.Nothing you could ask of them was a problem, and the hotel itself is absolutely stunning and immaculate in every sense. We will definitely visit again. Even on the way from the airport our driver told us we had picked the best hotel "on the island" and he was right!

Review of 'JARDIN DEL SOL SUITES'
06 January 2006
Me and my girlfriend wanted to go on our first holiday together and she had been to santa ponsa once before which was many years ago and loved it so we decided to go back, we went to our local travel agent "barrhead travel" who managed to get us a very very good deal, we decided to go for one week and chose to stay at the jardin del sol suites because the reviews sounded good so we went ahead and booked and i am so glad i did.
From the minute we pulled up to the hotel on our coach everyone's faces dropped as me and mmy girfriend departed the bus, i never expected such a beautifull hotel, the reception is stunning with amazing views, the staff ALWAYS had a smile, even at 4a.m after me and my girlfriend got in form a night out.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, no one will be disappointed with it! trust me.
I am looking forward to going back

JARDIN DEL SOL SUITES' Santa Ponca "Majorca"
07 August 2005
My Wife and I decided to book the Jardin Del Sol Suites hotel at Santa Ponca after reading a good review on another website, and we were glad that we did. We found the hotel to be everything that was said about it plus much more. The hotel staff were freindly, eager to please, and nothing was a bother to them. The accommodation was excellent, the decor was recent and fresh,I think that we also had more than we booked in terms of standard accomodation. We had booked a junior suite, but we were given a suite with a separate bedroom,as well as a lounge, whereas a junior suite we understand was a large room with a separate bathroom, but still a lot larger than a conventional hotel sized bedroom! The views from our balcony was breathtaking, and the added ingredient " the weather" was brilliant for all of our 10 days at the hotel. The swimming pool was outstanding, and kept scrupulously clean at all times, the down side was that we haqd to be down at the pool side by 7.15 am every morning in order to secure a sun bed. There were quite a lot of Germans staying at the hotel and as we know they do not like to queue for things,or to miss out on things that they consider to be "their territory" consequently they had most of the prime sun bed positions booked at a very early hour, despite the best efforts of the hotel staff to point out that sun beds could not be booked by putting towels on them. Never the less I think that we did give them a run for their money. The restaurant was excellent.A great variety of salads, cooked meats roasts, and speciality dishes were always available, there was always something for everyones tastes. The food was also of top notch quality, and excellent presentation, and the restaurant staff were always eager to please, and extremely freindly. A very nice touch was the Champagne breakfast on the Sunday morning. Sunbathers Around the pool were also treated to free glasses of champagne one lunch time. On a couple of instances the poolside bar staff treated any one who was interested to free slices of water melon, this was brought round to people at their sunbeds around the pool "an excellent touch" I would absolutely recommend the Jardin del Sol Suites hotel to anybody who is looking for a relaxed care free holiday, I think that the over riding impression that comes to mind when reveiwing this holiday was of the attitude of the staff, who wanted to make sure that as far as possible,e

Review of 'JARDIN DEL SOL SUITES'
04 August 2005
This hotel has a superb outlook with genuine sea views from the rooms over Santa Ponsa bay. The downside on arrival was the air conditioning not working properly and nasty odour from the shower. After several requests all was well. There is a token self catering facility but not such as to put this into the category of equipped apartment. Food in the self service restaurant is 'ok' but not overly priced. The poolside snacks are fresher and reasonably priced. Hydrotherapy is exorbitant (but always is). Overall a great hotel if, like us, you enjoy eating out at night. 4*+

Review of 'JARDIN DEL SOL SUITES'
20 July 2005
Jardin del sol Suites is a great hotel. My wife and I have just stayed there for a week (12 - 19 July 2005). The accommodation was clean, spacious and well equipped. Our terrace suite had a separate bedroom, a kitchenette with fridge, sink and cooker rings.
The air conditioning was effective but the real joy of the room was the bath. An open (ie in the sitting room) jacuzzi bath big enough for 2 with invigorating jets. The separate shower also had 4 adjustable jets and an overhead sprayer.
The food in the restaurant was of a very high standard. Good quality, fresh and varied both for breakfast and dinner.
Drinks were inexpensive - large beer by the pool just 2.5 euros.
Sparkling Med off the beach, peace and quiet, great service. We are definitely going back!
You won't regret it. Bill

UPDATE ON 'JARDIN DEL SOL SUITES'
24 May 2005
Hi this is an up to date report as I have again just returned from the hotel on the 20th of May 05. The hotel is no longer under D'or Hoteles but is now owned by IBEROSTAR group, there are some changes to advise you of,the dinner in the resteraunt has declined as has the breakfast.I would say book bed & breakfast as the dinners where very poor & most repetative, overall 4 out of 10.The hotel also charges you per week to rent an iron, good tip is to book yourself into the fifth floor as these have long terrace overlooking the pool instead of a small balcony.Service was still excellent as was the hygene & cleaning of room, still had a great comfortable stay for the week but they have to get the food back up to a high standards breakfasts poor too.

Review of 'JARDIN DEL SOL SUITES'
02 May 2005
Hi you will love the Jardin Del Sol, I have stayed here on four seperate occasions, this included taking my girlfriend to this hotel to get engaged. The location is fantastic just along from main resort of Santa Ponsa, you can park with ease at front of hotel then you walk into the lobby/Receptn. Panoramic views over the sea, the hotel is built into the hillside so you go down to your rooms in the elavators, the hotel was completely remodelled a few years ago now to highest standards - the rooms are air cond.& all have sea view with balcony & the great news is they all face south west so you got the sun sets for the bottle of wine on the balcony. Also jacuzzis in all rooms, bathrooms beds & kitchen parts are outstanding. The resteraunt you go up to on the top floor which is magical for dining , it allows you to have dinner as the sun goes down outside with huge canopy covering you or you can dine inside & it is lovely the same for breakfast the food is excellent, the pool is on the ground level & has pool bar & entertainment lounge there too, stuning pool. You can sit by pool & next to it is sea down a slight ten steps or so,I walk on crutches & had no problems with this hotel & location. It is friendly & fantastic to stay here, it is in my opinion one of the best hotels in the south of Majorca & should be FIVE star.I know what I am talking about I run a Uk based travel company.Don't hesitate this place is great thats why when its time for me to holiday when I can go vitually anywhere I choose to come back here time after time, its luxurious, friendly, relaxing & once you stay here you will come back, enjoy! all the best, Gary.
