felt welcome as soon as stepped out of taxi

23 July 2008
i stayed at the hotel from 11th -22nd july and as soon as i walked in the entrance the luxury hits you the staff was great on our arrivel we was offered champagne or soft drinks (never had that in any other hotel i have stayed in ) check in took approx 5 minutes and within another 5 we were in our room which again was brilliant better than i expected. i had requested a ground floor appt and that is what i got and it was right in front of pool.never had any problems with sunbeds always enough and when there was a shortage more beds were bought out.plenty of refreshments on offer all day and endless ice cream (last hotel i stayed in it was only for 2 hours a day)restaurants were lovely and clean and the varied choices of food was great never at anytime was i bored with choices, waiters always on hand if you wanted anything, entertainment was great the staff put on some very good shows i am booking to stay at the hotel for three weeks next year and cant wait to go back. there was just one little problem the tv had only 2 english channels sky news and men and motors but there again who really goes away on holiday to watch television

Review of 'IBEROSTAR LAS DALIAS'

07 March 2007
The hotel was excellent, food was plentiful and quite varied.  The only thing that spoiled it was the food in the containers seemed to be warm rather than hot.  Otherwise no complaints about the food.  We were given a room on the second floor (we had asked for a pool view), although it was a pool view you had to stand on the wall in the front of view to get a pool view.  Really the only complaint about the room was that we were at a corner of the hotel, so therefore when people were in the next room (i.e. the other corner), they could see straight into our hotel room - so not very private!!.

Hotel staff were very helpful.  We were all inclusive and sometimes the bar staff in the reception lounge were slow in serving us.  The bar staff in the terrace bar were brilliant.

Sometimes the shows that were scheduled did not appear - and no reason given which was sometimes a bit annoying, especially when it was something you had waited for, for several days and was on at 10.00 and then nothing - not very good!! but apart from that the evening entertainment was good.

The pool was excellent, no chlorine and kept very clean and surrounding area kept tidy.  Plenty of sunbeds and brollies and we didn't see any evidence of people putting towels on them - you couldn't get to them until after 9.00 a.m. because the hotel put a barrier up and you couldn't go past it until it was taken down.

All in all a very good holiday.

Well what can I say.  My wife and I LOVE this hotel we have been 3 times in the last 16 months (last Jan 2007) and have booked again for April 2007.  We go on the ALL INCLUSIVE option as it is value for money.  We always request a room overlooking the Pool with large balcony and we have not been let down yet.  Yes the rooms are not up to Hilton standard but they are clean and tidy.  Maid clean every day.  Food is excellent.  Staff are SUPERB.  Location SUPERB. The whole atmosphere is second to none.  Yes in winter age group is old but april - oct Young family upto 50.  No larger louts even though AI.  RECOMMENDED

Good 4 star hotel, food and entertainment very good. Age profile quite old (no fault of the hotel) which has its advantages, very quiet at night, sunbed availability good. All things considered we had a pleasant stay here but the Bouganville across the road would just shade it.

The weather can always blinker a hotel review but this is our 2nd stay at this hotel and we have not been disappointed with hotel nor weather.
In both cases we have requested a room overlooking the pool and in both cases we were designated a room overlooking the road!
However, the hotel was superb in it's response moving us within 24 hours in each case.
Rooms are clean and comfortable.
Pool area is large and there is no mad dash for Sun beds (admittedly some people break the 9am curfew!)
We were AI and while food can be repetitive it is a good and varied standard especially New Year Gala Dinner.
We did eat out 2 evenings of our 7 nights which always makes a refreshing change.
As a party of 8 we all confirmed we would have no problem in returning.

This hotel was meant to be refurbished in 2005.
The rooms are very basic and the refurbishment was to a very basic standard if done at all (it needs doing again). The food was fantastic and the hotel, foyer and pool very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The bar drinks are rediculously expensive considering the entertainment is diabolical every night and done on the cheap.
The animacion team try hard and I believe they think they are good, but they are that bad at dancing they are embarassing (Hi-di-hi never had a look in).
The hotel is excellently positioned and the entertainment over the road is first class.
This hotel should be downgraded to a poor 3 star compared with similar priced hotels around it (and I have been in a few) but a good holiday was had as it was a good base.
Beware of the tenerife pest who must teach the newcomers the trade outside the hotel...timeshare touts.... this is a school playground for them.

Another exellent hotel from Alpha rooms
Rooms in good condition and serviced to a good standard.
Food choice good and plentiful perhaps more 3 star than 4 but at less than £65.00 per day half board for 2 people what can you expect.
5 minutes to beach , shops and bars even closer, taxi rank opposite hotel and only 15 minutes to airport.

Rossinis is a gret resteraunt just around the corner if vyou fancy a different venue to eat

15 October 2006
Visited first 2 weeks in October. Still very hot.
Rooms clean and tidy, fresh towels/linen always available. The pool is large with plenty of sunbeds available.
Reception very helpful, and a champagne reception on arrival.
Approx 3 minutes to walk to the marina, and 5 minutes to the nearest beach.
Plenty of bars nearby which stay open until 2am, and Veronicas is a 5 euro trip away by cab (rank right outside the hotel)if you want to party until sun up.
Hotel food is adequate: It's what you expect when you go somewhere where they feed so many people in such a short space of time, but I ate out for almost every meal, as the quality is far superioir, and not a lot of money either.
About equivalent to a large 3* in the uk, but I would go back... There were worse judging from comments of people I spoke to.

Alone (apart from hundreds of others) at 'IBEROSTAR LAS DALIAS'

03 May 2006
Well...solo travelling is always hit and miss and this stay was no different.  This hotel is large and efficient...but mainly geared to families and as such, I felt pretty overwhelmed.    Apart from an 80 or so year old gent tottering about, I was the only person alone (and certainly the only young one.)  The deck chairs are rammed in around the pool so it feels a bit like battery farming.  No chance to find a quiet corner to hide in.  Having said that, its clean, efficient, and great value for children with hyperactive entertainers on tap for them...  And the hotel did move me from about the worst room (overlooking a highway) to about the best (sea and pool views) when I asked...  But it's big.  Probably too big to feel at home in if you're travelling alone and without the prerequisite 2.5 kids.  But if you are, you'll probably love it.

Very nice hotel, very clean, staff very friendly and helpful, food excellent. We were all inclusive which was great.Good location opposite the shopping centre with a taxi rank outside.
Should always request a room overlooking the pool as the road is a little busy and noisy sometimes.

One complaint, two lovely swimming pools which were both 1.5 mtrs deep all over, if you are vertically challenged or cannot swim it is a no go area which is a shame. Also very difficult to join in activities like water aerobics and water volly ball.  All in all a great place to stay

My husband and I travelled with our three year old grandson.10.02.06. I am 48. My husband is 60. We loved this hotel. The meals were outstandingly good and one of the best hotels foodwise that we've been in. The reception staff were friendly and efficient The cleaning staff were great. It was all spotless. The beds were changed everyday and each time we returned to our room they had arranged a towel made into the shape of an animal. The little one was fascinated.
The bar staff and dining room assistants were like lightning and also very friendly and willing to help. There are plenty of sunbeds and it was good that you could not reserve them.....you are allowed on them from 9.00am onwards, which gives everyone a fair chance to have breakfast and collect their gear together for swimming etc. There is one medium sized heated pool. The big pool and childrens pool were freezing but bear in mind we went in February. In summer they would probably be welcoming. The shops were very close by, very modern, lively and clean with lovely traditional cafes, bars etc. I had one very minor problem .........The beach was down a hill........hard work with a pushchair coming back to the hotel. Space on the beach was limited although pleasant, flat walking, further along the coast led to more sea and sand. The water park was just a stroll away. I would go back to this hotel with pleasure.

Just back from Tenerife and have to say that this is an excellent hotel. Centrally located and Shopping Centre just across the road (watch some of the electrical shops though - a guy tried to charge me €35 for a camera battery!). 10 mins walk to the beach and bars/restaurants in all directions. Greeted at reception with glass of champagne and got a room on the 6th floor with a decent balcony, overlooking pool and great sea view. Got double-bed (and not two twins pushed together as you usually get in Spain) and room was cleaned every day. Had satellite TV with Sky/BBC News and air conditioning. Bathroom was really nice with plenty of room. Hotel is very clean and pool is lovely - loads of sunbeds. Entertainment is a good laugh at night and there are two large bars in the hotel. They unfortunately close a bit early - 0030. Food is really good - huge selection for each course - breakfast finishes at 1000 and dinner finishes at 2130. Right mix of nationalities staying in hotel: lots of Spaniards, French, Italian, German, Scandinavian, Irish, Scottish, English and Dutch. All in all - excellent hotel, no complaints and would definitely go back.

Review of 'IBEROSTAR LAS DALIAS'

03 November 2005
Overall I was disappointed in this hotel, mainly due to the food.  I would pay more money & choose a hotel in real Costa Adeje area if returning to Tenerife.  I've rated 4 because hotel was relatively cheap, but 3.5 is more accurate, 3 is unfair.  Although not a bad hotel, there are better 4* hotels.

Resort: Disappointed - far too many bar touts & dancing bars lower the overall tone, albeit around the hotel itself is OK.

Weather: Oct 26th to Nov 2nd - perfect temperature (not too hot) during day & perfect at night (short-sleeves only)

Location: Iberostar is not situated in Adeje, it is in the far left of Americas, just above & right of Porto Colon.  However, the location is quite handy for shops (immediately across from hotel).  There are a few decent pubs within 5 mins walk (recommend Temple Irish Bar with live 2-man band).

Food: Although the food was not bad, it was not as good as other 4* hotels I have stayed at. The menu was predictable: grill bar comprised fish (always very boney) and a meat (mostly chicken, turkey or pork), plus pasta with the the same sauces almost every night. For example there were no "themed" nights (e.g. Canarian, Spanish, Italian, Chinese).  We stayed half-board, although it is possible to upgrade to AI for 20 euros per head per day.

Pool Area: There were plenty of loungers & umbrellas. My friend & I never "booked" loungers, just simply turned up late morning/ mid day & always found 2 loungers.  There are 3 pools (one main pool, one 'activity' pool used for water polo etc & a toddler's pool) - the water depth in both main pools is about 4 feet & not marked, which may be of concern some some parents whose children are learning to swim (toddler pool too shallow). Pool area was kept clean.

Entertainment: We did not sample the hotel entertainment, but it looked good for children (usual shows etc).

Rooms: Carpets in corriders were stained which gave a bad impression - why not tiles?  Room itself was clean, with good maid service (no problem getting room cleaned late if wanting a lie-in) and air-conditioned.  Request a room over-looking pool and be aware that there are 9 floors (we stayed in floor 2 which was ideal).  Fridge can be hired for week (17 euros which included fully stocked with soft-drinks ; 20 or 26 euros for mix of alco-pops etc).

26/8/05, Just returned from staying at Las Dalias and must stay it was most enjoyable . The hotel rooms were cleaned and changed daily, and were adequate for a family of three.Request a pool view room on floors 6 upwards and you will be able to see the entertainment if outside but also have a great view of the sea as well. Food was good with plenty of choices and also always hot. We booked half board but majority of people were All inclusive but you can upgrade to this on arrival if you wish at 20 Euros per day per person.
Hotel is also in a great position with music bars just a short walk away and also beach and waterpark a five minute stroll .

This hotel is superbly situated, there is a taxi rank outside hotel and bus stops further down road. The hotel offers comfortable rooms and the meals are excellent - staff very helpful.
Although away from main centre it is within walking distance approx 15mins away. We enjoyed it so much last year that we have booked again for this year.
