Stayed at the Iberostar Ciudad Blanca for eight nights in August on half board. The room was good, although the bedroom had limited natrual light. The food was very good with a good choice each day. The grounds and pools were kept in good order, the grounds opened out at the rear onto the beach. The staff were very helpful, but the entertainment is a little limited, although the 'team' are enthusiastic and very friendly. The beach is just and with no pebbles and is ideal for children. You can stay here all inclusive, but I spent nowhere near the extra cost of the all inclusive price on drinks & snacks, so for us half board was the best option. I would recommend this aprt/ hotel for it's high standands and location.

Great Hotel

04 September 2008
Second year running for us at this hotel and will be booking for next year. Can't really fault the hotel. An endless supply of food, drink and snacks throughout the day. Main buffet restaurant available for breakfast, lunch and dinner or choose the beach grill for lunch and outdoor terrace for dinner if you want a bit of variety. Soft drinks and snacks during the day are self service so the kids are in heaven ! Hotel is in a great location right on the beach, there are supermarkets about 100yds in both directions out of the front of the hotel. Shops near the hotel are full of 'touristy stuff' but a 20 minute walk down the beach front will bring you to the port area with much nicer shops, bars, restaurants.

Great Palce to stay

15 August 2008
Great place to stay. Very clean and food was of excellent quality and wide choice. The Hotel is right on the beach , a perfect location for a couple with young kids. Very safe. The only negative is that the entertainment finished a little early (10.30 pm). Would definitely go back here though.

Another good stay

15 July 2008
This was our second stay at the hotel. We enjoyed ourselves. The rooms are spacious (though fairly basic decor) and they had improved the outdoor seating outside the main restaurant so it was lovely to sit and eat overlooking the pool. The beach is literally outside the back entrance to the hotel and is very clean with shallow sea so perfect for young children. The food (buffet style) had improved from the previous year. There is loads of choice (although catered more for continental Europeans) and the standard is good. The all inclusive is good value as you get unlimited drinks/lollies etc. all day. The evening entertainment was good, some the entertainment staff miming & dancing to songs (but unfailingly enthusiastic) and some external acts (brilliant acrobats one night). The kids club (4 upwards) is good although some activities better than others (my 4 year old got a bit confused with the games due to a bit of a language barrier although the staff do speak English). Overall, a really good hotel, lovely pool and setting and the entertainment staff deserve medals for smiling the whole time! On the negative, you have to get up early to get a sunbed with a parasol (rather ironic on holiday) and Brits are in the minority (could be a positive or negative!).

what a great hotel, we stayed here for 1 week in may with our 2 girls age 4 and 6 very clean and big room maids in every day, the food was fantastic loads of choice, the pool was great for young kids as in most places they could still just about stand up there was a deeper area but there is also a seperate pool which is deeper for adult swimming entertainment was fab there was allways something on, pony rides, archery for adults games, outdoor bingo at 4pm is very family orientated hotel kids club was great was on 10.30-1.00 then 3.00-5.00 .the entertainment team really good the shows they put on about 3 times aweek then the hotel has professional acts in on the other days all the staff were so nice and cheerful and allways had time to speak with you we were 3 steps away from the beach which was excellent and about half hour stroll down the beach to the port. will definately be booking to go here again next year

Fantastic

03 September 2007
We've visited Alcudia for many years and this is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The location is perfect, the rooms are spacious and very clean, the food is suberb and so much choice, the entertainment during the day and the evening shows are excellent for the children - on the whole a dream hotel. We stayed during the high season and at times it was busy in the dining room in the evenings but it was managable and the service was very efficient. The only down point was the initial booking in process at reception. They were very busy and while us Brits tend to wait in the queue we did find that other nationalities ignored the queue system and butted in therefore making our check in an extremely long process. That is the only fault that I can find with this hotel. Highely recommend this hotel and we will be booking to stay here again and again and again. x

Review of 'IBEROSTAR CIUDAD BLANCA APT'

26 May 2006
upon arrival we were given our room very quickly, the room was perfect very clean spacious and modern, the hotel was very safe and we could see both the pools from our patio, this made it easy for us to unpack as we could let our 8 year old son go play at the pools and we could keep an eye out on him. the staff were very freindly also the beach was right outside so no busy roads to cross.the pools were very well maintained and the entertainment team was very freindly and funny.
This was the best holiday me and my family have ever had and we will certainly be returning next year

Review of 'IBEROSTAR CIUDAD BLANCA APT'

07 May 2006
The Ciudad Blanca is an excellent hotel.  The staff are very friendly, the apartment and facilities are spotless.  The sofa bed was very comfortable. The pool is excellent for small children and there is a separate pool for more serious swimmers!  We were in the main block.  The only problem we experienced was that it was quite noisy until between 11-12pm.  One family let their children run riot around the pool up to 12pm, we were on the 4th floor overlooking the pool, but it was still very loud.  They were then noisy when they came back to their apartment, but it was then quiet until around 7.30am.  There are smaller blocks of apartments and it`s worth asking for a room in one of these, which will probably be quieter.
The other guests were mainly German or Dutch, but they were friendly, a few did speak English.  There was a bit of a communication barrier with the children.

The location of the hotel for the beach was also very good.

We were not too keen on the resort, it`s based around busy main roads and most of the restaurants were located on the main road.  It`s also quite commercial and I would expect it is quite rowdy in peak season.  The Portofino restaurant is poor, I wanted my steak well done, but it arrived rare, I had to send it back twice before it was properly cooked.  I had to eat when my husband and son had finished, but there was no apology.  The staff were rather unfriendly even before I had to send the steak back.  A few days later we walked past an a woman was holding her steak over her plate showing her husband the blood dripping out of it!  Tivoli Terrace is worth a visit and is quite reasonably priced, it`s opposite the entrance to the Bellevue complex.

Apart from the one family who were noisy, the other guests were all friendly and very civilised, a nice relaxed atmosphere around the pool.

We would definited like to try another Iberostar hotel.
