JUST RETURNED FROM THIS HOTEL. VERY FRIENDLY AND STAFF VERY HELPFUL. ROOMS CLEAN AND SO WERE BEDDING AND TOWELS.... YOU COULD HAVE THEM CHANGED WHENEVER YOU WANTED AND MAID SERVICE DAILY. THE FOOD WAS BUFFET STYLE AND WAS PLENTIFUL AND EXCELLENT WITH WIDE VARIETY FROM ROASTS, PASTA, MEATS, FISH TO SALADS, FRUITS AND ICES EVERY NIGHT!! GOOD CLEAN POOL AREA ON BEACH FRONT AND IN GOOD LOCATION FOR WALKING TO EITHER LOS CHRISTIANOS OR CALLETTA. WE WILL BE GOING BACK AND HAVE RECOMMENDED FAMILY AND FRIENDS XX

Nice Hotel, food good and large selection served in large dining hall. Pools and other facilities good. Close to beaches and main shopping areas. Only down side was music bar across the road in front of the hotel. Horrendous cabaret and karaoke went on till after 1am on Xmas eve. Very loud almost on the main street. Spoiled it a bit for us and would perhaps stop us going back to what is otherwise a great hotel.

Excellent recepton staff very professional and willing to please. The room was lovely and they made my aunt's 83rd Birthday a delighful pleasure. Celebratory bubbly in room and ide bucket too. Really thoughtful and atttentive druing our stay. The quality of meals and th showmanship of the Chefs was on display. The waiters were not pushy and made sure tables were cleared when people ended their meals. High standards and good entertainment too. We stayed half board but the all inclusive peple weemed please with the quality of the drinks and daytime meals on offer.

CHARGED FOR ANY DRINK WITH DINNER, WATER ETC., TEA NOT AVAILABLE AT DINNER TIME. FOOD RATHER BASIC AND COOKED MEAT TOUGH, FISH RATHER DRY. HOTEL IN PRIME POSITION AND A FEW HUNDRED YARDS FROM BEACH. CAN WALK ALONG SEA FRONT FOR MILES AND PROVIDES BEAUTIFUL AND RELAXING ATMOSPHERE. YOU NEED TO GET UP EARLY AND PUT TOWEL "RESERVE" FOR SUNBEDS. SUNBATHING AREA CAN BE SUSCEPTIBLE TO WIND. IF ON UPPER FLOORS, CAN WAIT QUITE A WHILE FOR LIFTS AT BUSY TIMES. SUNBATHING AREA ON ROOF OF HOTEL GIVING FULL VIEW OF BEACH COAST. CURRENCY EXCHANGE AT RECEPTION VERY POOR PLUS HIGH COMMISION CHARGE. THERE ARE 2 SWIMMING POOLS ONE CHILDREN ORIENTATED AND ONE ADULT TOWELS ARE PROVIDED. GAMES ROOM NOT CLEVER. BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS ARE CLEAN AND ADEQUATE AND FRIENDLY STAFF. SHOPS RESTAURANTS, CAFES, CLOSE BY. HOTEL GROUNDS ARE SECURE AND ACCESS IS BY ROOM CARD.

The hotel is in need of a re-vamp the air conditioning was non functional 27 deg in the room-at night impossible to sleep. Food very basic wouldn't go back again

was disappointed we went half board no kettle in room asked and was told they don't give one .we didn't get tea with our dinner in the evening .pool area was very full could not get a sun bed u would have to get up at 730 to get a bed as we were talking to other people they had the same problem

Very dated and food never a 4* needs to be re evaluated. Paid for a triple room but squashed double with a camp bed!

Great location and weather. Relatively close to the beach (you have to descend several stairs). For a 4 star hotel I was expecting better quality of the food. It has got a lot of variety and different dishes every day, but the quality is not the best. As for the room it was spacious and clean, but overall the hotel needs a little update, specially in the rooms. We had also a balcony with half a sea view which was also very nice.

would definately recommend this hotel from the reception staff to dining room service and cleanliness cannot fault this hotel. ok perhaps a bit dated in places but you dont spend that much time in your room anyway. had a great view from our room requested a sea view and this is what we got. will definagtely return.

Having stayed at this hotel before , I have no complaints. Food is very good, The hotel is very clean and the location is great. There appeared to be a wide selection of evening entertainment too.

Just had a fantastic week @ Bouganville, food is excellent as are every member of staff, and there are loads believe me tending to your every need. We certainly didn`t expect a Five Star gaff for Four Star money. All areas of this fine place are clean as a whistle with staff constantly clearing empty glasses from tables etc, I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a decent holiday, we`ll be back in September for sure.

I have just returned from yet another GREAT holiday..... OK I know the rooms need updating but they are clean, towels and linen changed as often as you like, staff and service is brilliant and a wide choice of food...... Those that say the food is terrible I'm sorry but you must be either very very fussy or go in with your eyes shut! From Mussels, to Salmon, to Roast Pork, to chicken, to Veal and also meats and fish freshly cooked........2 choices of soups each evening, about 20 Salad dishes, Chips, Pizza, 2 or 3 choices of pasta, always one sort of Paella, Chicken Nuggets, Onion or Calamari Rings, 2 or 3 choices of veg what more do people want. The Desserts are the best Ive ever had always a good choice of at least 5 to 6 different cakes, 2 or 3 different mouses and 4 flavours of Ice Cream, fresh fruit and also a wide cheese selection. Breakfast I worked out that about every 4th day they have what I would class as an English Pork Sausage out, they always have bacon, beans, eggs cooked freshly for you, hard boiled eggs, pancakes, cereals, different breaks and pastries as well as the normal meet and cheeses and salads and also fresh fruit and about twice a week they put out Cava for you to help yourself to. Marcus on reception is a dream, Francisco (Paco) on the main bar is a deleight and Domingo in the resturant is a star, as well as lots of other staff too many to mention by name. Plenty of sun beds no need to get up at 6.30am to grab one and if you come out later in the day and cant find an umbrella then just ask a member of staff and they will get you one. They also have a well equipped Gym which is free to use and they also have things on round the pool to keep those that dont want to lie in the sun all day, like French Bowls, Archery, Shooting, Darts, Ten Pin Bowling, Shuffle Board, Table Tennis, Spin Classes, Aerobics, Face Masks, Bingo, Crazy Golf. Also about every other day come round with either Melon, a sample drink, ice cream etc and there is also fashion shows... the Irish lady who does a Monday is very cheep and nice dresses they are all 30 euros each or 2 for 30 euros. I WILL be returning I hope later this work depending on work but if not this year I will be back in may next year.

I STAYED IN THIS HOTEL FOR A WEEK FROM THE 9TH TO 16TH APRIL 2012, I BOOKED IT BASED ON TRIP ADVISOR REVIEWS AND PRICE. OVERALL SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT, FROM CHECK IN TO RESTAURANT STAFF, I REQUESTED A SEA VIEV AND THIS WAS PROVIDED. FOOD WAS VARIED AND AS GOOD AS I HAVE EVER HAD IN A HOLIDAY HOTEL, THE ONLY THING THAT MIGHT MAKE ME THINK TWICE ABOUT RETURNING WAS THAT THE ROOMS ARE IN NEED OF A BIT OF MODERNISING, IT WAS HOWEVER SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, ITS IN A GREAT LOCATION OVERLOOKING THE BEACH. I WOULD DEFINATELY GO IBERSTAR AGAIN, MAYBE TRY A FIVE STAR NEXT TIME.

Hotel lovely, food fantastic! any amount of it and food for any taste palette, we went half board. Air conditioned rooms wihich was great and especailly as we had a 20 month old child. Rooms cleaned everyday and towels changed. Can rent towels for the pool which was fantastic, just had to pay a €5 deposit which is refundable. Also can rent safe for €15 which is also refundable. Men have to wear long trousers to dinner which was a bit of a pain condsidering the heat! Very child friendly hotel, staff were so nice to children! Bar did'nt have a great selection of drinks as in beers, no budweiser or magners, strongbow etc.

Really good week. Stayed here twice now. We were a family of 7 adults, stayed B&B only. Great Breakfastfast with all the options you could think of. Rooms were very good with airconditioning, just disappointed double room had two single beds pushed together. The Pool and pool bar area bar are really good, good size pool with sun all day, and the pool bar was well stacked with nice sheltered area. The evening entertainment was limited and focussed on older age groups, indeed as not half term the average age seemed to be over 55, much to disappointment of younger group members. Service was ok but nothing special.

Excellant stay,facilities excellant, food great,brilliant location,only negative being the internal of the hotel is getting a little tired evenalthough very clean. Free room to shower in due to our late departure.

we have just come back from a 14night stay at the bouganville playa it was a great holiday entertainment staff were just great something going on all the time but they were not pushey, reception staff were also very helpfull nothing was to much trouble we were on the 5th floor but our friends were on the 2nd and the reception staff took no trouble in moving us Thanks. The food was very nice always fresh and loads to pick from and people who know me now i like my food the rooms were cleaned everyday fresh towels and sheets. you dont need to take towels you can hire them 5euros each and you get the money back and you can change the towels daily. booked to go again 2012 with direct holidays

Just come back from 1 week All Inclusive and was very pleased, I've stayed here before 2 years ago and like Iberostar hotels as you know what your getting. Many of the guests here come back year after year. Weather was fantastic and the location was absolutely spot on not too busy with a short walk to the more livlier areas along a costal walkway. Great views of La Gomera, having a drink in the evening will never be quite the same. The Entertainment crew work extremely hard to get people up and doing although don't push too hard if you just want to laze in the sun. Thankfully I didn't have to get up at silly O'clock to reserve my sunbed as there was ample choice by both pools

Stayed for 10 nights in June with my girlfriend. The hotel is in a great location close to the beach and shops. Pools are clean but very busy although we always managed to get sunbeds. Only negative was that the room was a bit dated but still clean and the maid came every day so no real complaints. It was my birthday when we were there and the hotel provided me with a complimentary bottle of champagne which was a nice touch. We will certainly be back in the future.
