Review of 'HUSA FORNELLS PARK'

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We found the hotel to be clean, the staff friendly and the service of good standard. The fixtures and fittings were UK 3 star standard and the bedrooms had aircon.
The restaurant offered a good standard of food at reasonable prices, in a pleasant environment. Breakfasts were self service with both continental and hot dishes available. The hotel does not have a bar and all drinks are waiter served.
The swimming pool had a limited number of sun beds, we were always able to get one whenever we wanted, patio tables and chairs and was set in a garden area at first floor level.
The hotel is located south of Girona town and there is no frequent public transport between the two (nor is there pedestrian access). Taxis are readily available for between 8-12 euros. Girona town, which is well worth a visit, has trains and buses accessing the local areas including the coast and Barcelona.
Other places worth a visit are: inland - Banyoles lake, Besalu, the Volcanic region; on the coast - Cadeques, Tossa de Mar, Roses.
